Why Malaysia reported below 2,500 Covid cases today (Feb 14).
— Boo Su-Lyn (@boosulyn) February 14, 2021
Drop in testing, plus high positive rate (share of tests that are positive). Fewer people tested means fewer cases officially reported.
WHO benchmark positive rate: <5%.
Successful countries' positive rate: <3% https://t.co/YqSHIOD6T7
I'm hoping the drop in tests due to holiday effect and not them stop testing, praying the test numbers will climb back up starting Tuesday/Wednesday

New Covid-19 cases as of noon dropped by over a thousand to 2,464 from over 3,400 recorded just yesterday. This makes it the second only time the daily rate has stood this low since the movement control order took effect on January 13.#covid19malaysia pic.twitter.com/5c3NKYVVPw
