The suspect, alleged the complainant, said that he was not afraid of her being a former DPP.
She also claimed that several other guests at the event had witnessed the incident.
PETALING JAYA: A lawyer has lodged a police report against a fellow counsel over alleged sexual assault during a gathering at a hotel here over the weekend.
In her complaint made at the Sea Park police station on Sunday evening, the victim said her alleged assailant, who was said to be drunk, groped her at least twice.
The woman who is in her early 30s claimed she told the lawyer to stay away from her but that he ignored her warnings.
She said the lawyer then became aggressive, used vulgar words against her and threatened her.
In her report, she said the incident took place between 11.30pm on Saturday and 2am the following day. She said it was witnessed by several other lawyers who also attended the 5th edition of the Criminal Lawyers’ Annual Party.
She urged the police to investigate the case for outrage of modesty, using words or gestures intended to insult the modesty of a person and misconduct in public by a drunken person.
