PADANG BESAR: A Form Four student had a week of fun, using a stolen Perodua MyVi, which he used to drive himself to school for one week.
The 16-year-old student also drove the car to tuition and even gave it frequent washes, as if the car belonged to him.
In order to avoid being questioned by his family, the boy parked the car at the Bukit Keteri KTMB train station.
Unknown to the boy, the act caught the attention of the station staff, who had found it suspicious and so, they alerted the police.
State police chief Datuk Azisman Alias said acting on the report, police decided to check on the car.
He said checks revealed that that the car’s plate number was a fake and the registration number imprinted on the vehicle’s windscreen matched that of a car reported stolen on Sept 15.
“Police also found a school file belonged to the boy in the car, which led to his arrest on Sept 19 at his house.
