Sultan disapproves hearses being used for protest

Selangor ruler Sultan Sharifuddin Idris Shah has expressed his disapproval over the misuse of hearses managed by mosque committees in the state.
Though there was no mention of names or specific incidents, it wan an obvious response to the protest held outside the state secretariat building in Shah Alam on Feb 14 by Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Md Yunos.

Sungai Besar Umno division head Jamal Md Yunos has lodged a report at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over alleged abuse of public funds by the Selangor government.
Jamal alleged that RM200 million have been misappropriated from the state’s Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) scheme in which senior citizens can nominate a beneficiary who will receive RM2,500 for funeral or other expenses.

Tension as ‘grave digger’ @datojamal99 confronted outside Selangor secretariat

Tension ran high outside the Selangor state secretariat building this afternoon when Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos turned up with another publicity stunt.
Jamal, dressed as a grave digger and accompanied by more than a dozen hearses with empty coffins in them, appeared outside the building to protest against the alleged abuse of the “Skim Mesra Usia Emas” (SMUE), a scheme to fund costs incurred at the death of senior family members in Selangor.
An unidentified man, accompanied by several people, confronted Jamal, yelling that the people are tired of his antics.
Jamal responded by calling them “dogs”.
