KLANG: Another crocodile was spotted, this time in Sungai Semenyih in Selangor.
Selangor Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director Abd Rahim Othman said the public had tipped off the department about seeing the crocodile in the river earlier in the week.
“We saw the crocodile in a swampy area near the Semenyih river,” said Abd Rahim, dismissing the possibility of this crocodile being the same one sighted in Sungai Klang on Tuesday.

（吉隆坡1日讯）鳄鱼来“拜年”！雪兰莪州巴生哥打桥巴生河有一条鳄鱼出没，经常在河堤垂钓的公众，受促小心。
公众星期二在巴生北区清真寺游过河流，拍到一条鳄鱼游过的短片，这则短片随后在社交媒体流传，引起公众议论纷纷。
根据视频，一条“黑色浮木”在河面缓缓游动，随即可清楚目睹是一条鳄鱼后，有公众喊叫；鳄鱼相信被惊吓，潜入河内，之后不知所踪。发现是鳄鱼。
上传视频的公众，提醒垂钓者与喜欢在石头公园河边荡悠的公众小心。
有网民留言，哥打桥于1960年开幕时，桥底下的巴生河，不时出现鳄鱼，当时的河水干净及有很多淡水虾，没有收到污染。也有网友指出，鳄鱼在巴生河居住甚久，不时会靠岸晒太阳。随着河水受到污染与垃圾遍布河流，鳄鱼逐渐消失遍，但是巴生河已逐步恢復干净，鳄鱼又回来了。
有网民指以为巴生河有鳄鱼只是传说，却真有其事。网友也提醒在当地钓鱼的垂钓者，小心钓到鳄鱼。
有垂钓者去年9月24日，在斯里圣淘沙花园巴生河发现鳄鱼出没，警方、消防及拯救局与民防部队人员受召到场展开搜寻工作，但因天色昏暗及搜寻鳄鱼不遂，而陆续中止搜寻工作。

Beware of crocodiles — in Sungai Klang
SHAH ALAM: Members of the public have been advised to be cautious when fishing in Klang River near Kota bridge in Klang, following the sighting of a two-metre-long crocodile in the area recently.
Kota Raja Fire and Rescue Station head Omar Mohamad said the station would continue to monitor the river for the crocodile, believed to be a saltwater species.
“The crocodile appeared in the river possibly because its habitat has been affected by the recent flood and high tide phenomenon,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
Omar was commenting on a video recording of a crocodile in Klang River which went viral on social sites recently.
Selangor Wildlife and National Parks Department director Abd Rahim Othman was reported as saying the department would monitor the movement of the crocodile, but would not capture it.

This is an old video. Most river mouths have saltwater crocodiles. Since the species is different from Borneo aggressive croc, so nothing to be concern and stay away at a safe distance.
There are more big saltwater croc at Linggi rivers and they don’t attack boats but may swim closely. Have been fishing in croc water for decades but safety comes first. Don’t stand near the river banks. Have seen some croc greets me and it swims away. They’re more afraid of humans !
