KUANTAN, June 22 — The Pahang state government will introduce special registration plates — VIP 1 to VIP 9999 series — to fund the promotion Visit Pahang Year 2017.

Sources from the state government said its request for the special registration plates had been approved by the Ministry of Transport and the state government would pay RM1 million to the Road Transport Department for exclusive rights to the special registration series.

“The aim of selling the special VIP registration numbers or in short ‘Visit Pahang’ is to gather funds needed for the promotion of the Visit Pahang Year 2017 (TMP 2017).
