KUALA PILAH: A disciplinary teacher at a school here could be in trouble after a police report was lodged, claiming that two pupils were subjected to an ‘unusual’ form of punishment.

The complainants claimed that the disciplinary teacher, after forcing the Year Six boys to remove their trousers, flicked a rubber band at their genitals.

The teacher also allegedly slapped them.

Maimunah Harun and Ramlan Razak recently lodged a police report on the incident at the Melang police station.

Maimunah has a grandson at the school, while the other alleged abuse victim is Ramlan’s son.
…
The two claim they were forced to lodge a police report after complaints to the school as well as the district education office, made almost two months ago, fell on deaf ears.

Maimunah claimed the incident occurred on Nov 12.

“It happened a week before the school holidays. The two boys had been summoned by the disciplinary teacher for allegedly stealing the bolts of the wheels of a teacher’s car,” she said when met at his home in Kampung Pauh Majau on Wednesday.

She said after learning of the incident, she and Ramlan complained to the school management and escalated the matter to the district education officer.

“We were asked to file written complaint. The officer promised to resolve the incident.
