BRITAIN is facing imminent migrant sex attacks similar to the sickening New Year’s Eve assaults in Germany, according a top security expert has warned.

The alert – which was issued after 150 women were assaulted in the Germany – came as countries across the continent claimed many cities were now no-go areas for lone females.

Finland and Sweden became the latest nations to warn women to be wary of sex attacks following fresh reports of assaults in the last week while Austrian authorities came under fire for keeping similar attacks secret for fear of reprisals against asylum seekers.

Security expert Professor Anthony Glees told the Daily Star Online the UK was safe for now because of its “sensible” approach of letting in only a small number of refugees.But he warned the millions of asylum seekers entering Europe asylum seekers will be free to roam the EU in three years.

Professor Glees, from Buckingham University, said: “The German policy was a policy of complete open doors. There’s no immediate threat to us in the UK and that’s the result of sensible British policy.“What happened in Germany on New Year’s Eve was outrageous and there’s no excuse for it – and the authorities cannot cope.“But there is a longer-term problem for Britain given the lack of screening of people who have come into Germany, as after a few years they can travel anywhere they want within the EU.

“You can get documentation that allows you to travel throughout the EU – including the UK – after that time has passed. And you can do this without having a passport.”

Cologne sex attacks: Women describe ‘terrible’ assaults

More than 100 women and girls have come forward with reports of sexual assault and robbery by gangs of men in the German city of Cologne on New Year’s Eve.

Victims have described chaos outside the city’s main station, as the men carried out dozens of attacks with little apparent response from the authorities.

Correspondents say the identification of the attackers as North African or Arab in appearance has caused alarm in Germany because of the influx of more than a million migrants and refugees in the past year.

Some of the women caught in the violence have begun speaking of their ordeal.

Michelle told the BBC News how she and her friends became surrounded by between 20 and 30 men, who were speaking a foreign language.

“They grabbed our arms… pushed our clothes away, and tried to get between our legs or I don’t know where.

“They got everything we had in our pockets.”

She said German police needed to provide more protection for women and girls.

“We are all really shocked that something like this could happen, especially at an event like New Year’s Eve.”

One woman, whose identity has been protected, told German television how gangs of men assaulted her in the crowd.

“All of a sudden these men around us began groping us,” she said. “They touched our behinds and grabbed between our legs. They touched us everywhere.

“So my girlfriend wanted to get out of the crowd. When I turned around one guy grabbed my bag and ripped it off my body.”

She said she felt in extreme danger, but there were no police officers to help.

“I thought to myself that if we stay here in this crowd they could kill us, they could rape us and nobody would notice. I thought we simply had to accept it.

In Finland, police said they had received reports of “widespread sexual harassment” in Helsinki on New Year’s Eve.

A police official said they were tipped off that groups of asylum seekers had planned to sexually harass women and that three asylum seekers had been arrested.

“This is a completely new phenomenon in Helsinki,” deputy police chief Ilkka Koskimaki told AFP news agency.

Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner pledged police would take a “no tolerance” approach to sexual assault after complaints of attacks in the city of Salzburg emerged.

And police in the Swiss city of Zurich said about six women had reported being robbed and sexually assaulted on New Year’s Eve in attacks “a little bit similar” to those in Germany.

Germany must contemplate deporting foreigners convicted of crimes following the Cologne sex attacks, Chancellor Angela Merkel says.

She said “clear signals” had to be sent to those not prepared to abide by German law.

Gangs of men described as of North African and Arab appearance were reported to be behind the attacks.

Police also received reports of sexual attacks in cities in Finland, Austria and Switzerland on New Year’s Eve.

Meanwhile, four young Syrians are being held over the suspected gang rape of two teenage girls in the southern German town of Weil am Rhein on the same night, according to German media.

Responding to outrage over the Cologne attacks, Mrs Merkel said in a statement: “These are repugnant criminal acts that a state, that Germany will not accept.

Similar attacks were also reported in Hamburg and in Stuttgart.

Meanwhile police in Weil am Rhein, on the border with Switzerland and France, have reportedly detained four suspects aged between 14 and 21, originally from Syria, over the gang rape of two girls aged 14 and 15 on New Year’s Eve.

Suspects in Cologne sex attacks ‘claimed to be Syrian refugees’

Leaked police report claims senior police officers feared fatalities and that one of those involved in attacks told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me”

Ministers have said there is no evidence asylum seekers were involved in the violence.

But the leaked police report, published in Bild newspaper and Spiegel, a news magazine, claims that one of those involved told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me.”

Another tore up his residence permit before the eyes of police, and told them: “You can’t do anything to me, I can get a new one tomorrow.”

A local newspaper reported that fifteen asylum-seekers from Syria and Afghanistan were briefly held by police on New Year’s Eve in connection with the sex attacks but were released.

The Express newspaper quoted an unnamed police officer who said his squad had detained several people who had “only been in Germany for a few weeks”.

“Of these people, 14 were from Syria and one was from Afghanistan. That’s the truth. Although it hurts,” he said.

The newspaper quoted a second police officer as confirming the 15 who were held had “residence permits for the asylum procedure”. Officers took down their names, and they are in the police records, he said.

If confirmed, the report will add new weight to claims of a police cover-up. The Cologne authorities have claimed they have no evidence whether asylum-seekers were involved.

It is not clear why the suspects were released but police officers have said they were overwhelmed on the night.

The Bild newspaper in Germany—one of the foremost media promoters of the “refugee” invasion of Germany—today admitted that “groups of young foreigners (probably North Africans)” occurred around midnight on the Hans-Albers-Platz and Grosse Freiheit cross street.

The Bild said the attack “was just like the attack at the Cologne central station” and titled their article “Sex-pack go women-hunting in Hamburg” (Sex-Meute auf  Frauen-Jagd in Hamburg).

The Bild said that the “North Africans banded together in groups, harassed young women verbally calling them ‘bitch,’ and shouting ‘Fikki Fikki.’

Then the victims were cornered, robbed, and sexually assaulted, the Bild continued. “The women were sexually assaulted on the breasts and in the groin area.”

According to the article, mobile phones and wallets were stolen. Police confirmed that all the victims were girls aged between 18 and 24 years old. Others avoided the mass attacks by “fleeing in panic to the bouncers outside party clubs and pubs.”

Meanwhile, from Stuttgart comes a heavily-censored report of violent sexual attacks on women at a New Year’s Eve party in the city.

According to the Unser Tirol newspaper, women were attacked in two separate incidents by “troublemakers with an immigrant background” and “15 Mediterranean men with an Arabic appearance.”

The paper said the situation had “escalated” when the young girls refused the sexual advances made by the nonwhites. Their male partners—heavily outnumbered by the “refugees fleeing violence” were then savagely beaten, with one having to be admitted to the hospital with severe lacerations to the face.

According to the paper, bouncers then “accompanied the troublemakers with an immigrant background to the door of the premises,” but they waited outside for the German girls to emerge.

When they did, the unsuspecting whites were “cruelly beaten” by the nonwhite mob. One of the victims was beaten so badly that she suffered a broken nose and several cuts to the face, and had to undergo an emergency surgical procedure at the local hospital.

BERLIN (AFP) – German leaders expressed shock over dozens of apparently coordinated sexual assaults against women on New Year’s Eve in the western city of Cologne blamed on “Arab-looking men,” but warned against anti-migrant scapegoating.

Chancellor Angela Merkel called for a thorough investigation of the “repugnant” attacks, ranging from groping to at least one reported rape, allegedly committed in a large crowd of revellers during year-end festivities outside the city’s main train station and its famed Gothic cathedral.

Merkel’s spokesman Steffen Seibert said she had called Cologne’s mayor, Henriette Reker, to express her “outrage” over the violence, which she said required “a tough response from the state”.

“Everything must be done to find as many of the perpetrators as possible as quickly as possible and bring them to justice, regardless of their origin or background,” Seibert quoted Merkel as saying.

AT least 80 women were raped and sexually assaulted by suspected immigrant men in a frenzy at a main railway station on New Year’s Eve.

Police in Cologne are hunting for the group of up to 1,000 “Arab and North African” men who seriously sexually assaulted more than 80 women.Victims had their underwear ripped from them, fingers inserted into orifices and their handbags rifled for valuables.Police Chief Wolfgang Albers called the attacks “crime in a completely new dimension”.With hundred of thousands of people expected on the streets in coming weeks for carnvival celebrations he said video monitoring of crowds is being considered.CCTV cameras in the main station are being examined to try to identify the attackers although no footage has been released to the public. The group also robbed their victims and threw fireworks at a crowd of people, police said.

Around 60 criminal complaints have been filed so far including an allegation of rape.

German police are hunting for a group of up to a 1,000 men ‘of Arab and North African origin’ who are accused of sexually assaulting numerous women and causing trouble at Cologne’s main station.

Police described the series of sexual assaults against women in Cologne on New Year’s Eve as ‘a completely new dimension of crime.’

Officers received numerous complaints from women who said they had been assaulted around Cologne’s main train station next to the western German city’s famous cathedral on the night from Thursday to Friday.

One of the victims, named only as ‘Katja L’, gave a harrowing testimony of her ordeal.

‘When we came out of the station, we were very surprised by the group that met us there’. She said the group was ‘exclusively young foreign men,’ she told Der Express.

‘We then walked through this group of men. There was an alley through [the men] which we walked through.’

She described the moment she ‘felt a hand on my buttocks, then on my breasts, in the end’.

‘I was groped everywhere. It was a nightmare. Although we shouted and beat them, the guys did not stop. I was desperate and think I was touched around 100 times in the 200 meters,’ she said.

‘Fortunately I wore a jacket and trousers. A skirt would probably have been torn away from me’.

It is unclear if the gang of men are migrants but opinions remain divided in Cologne over the recent influx of migrants with protests held by PEGIDA and a campaign supporting migrants.

BERLIN: The German government on Tuesday (Jan 5) condemned dozens of apparently coordinated sexual assaults against women on New Year’s Eve in the western city of Cologne blamed on Arab men but warned against migrant scapegoating.

Justice Minister Heiko Mass called for a thorough investigation of the rash of attacks, ranging from groping to at least one reported rape, allegedly committed in a large crowd of revellers during year-end festivities at the city’s main train station.

“This represents a new dimension of crime that we will have to get to grips with,” he told reporters, adding that the assaults had appeared to be “coordinated”. “The authorities are working intensively to determine who was behind this.”

Asked by a journalist whether the attackers could have been refugees, Maas said police were still working to identify them. “This is not about where someone is from but what they did,” he said.

“Making an issue out of it, lumping it together with the refugee issue, is nothing but exploitation. Now is the time to determine the facts and then decide on the necessary consequences.”
