Police reports lodged on song taunting Umno leaders
Four police reports were lodged today urging for immediate legal action to be taken regarding the song that insulted Umno leaders and the party, which has become viral on the social websites.
The police reports were lodged by the Merbok Umno Youth movement, Merbok Puteri Umno division, Belia 4B for the Merbok parliamentary constituency, and the Merbok Parliamentary Sports and Recreation Club, at the Kuala Muda District Police Headquarters this afternoon.
Kedah Umno Youth chief Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin, who is also the Merbok Umno Youth chief, said the song was believed to have been spread on the Internet first in 2007 but it became viral on the social website three days ago.
“That’s why we are lodging a police report today on the rudeness of a group of musicians who have changed the lyrics of the song with words that insult Umno,” he told reporters after lodging the police report.
