No “fireworks” at Palace of Justice
By – 19 February 2015 @ 8:53 AM
PUTRAJAYA: The group who vowed to protest against the judiciary by “blowing up” courts across the nation had failed to live up to their promise at the Palace of Justice here past midnight, over an hour after they threatened to do so.
Nothing appeared out of the ordinary outside the complex, which exceeded the date and time set by the four masked men to launch fireworks in seeking retibution against the judicial system.
…
However a group who opposed the clad-in-black masked men’s plot had turned up to observe the “spectacle”.
Among them was Putrajaya Umno Youth Chief Ahmad Faisal Abdul Karim who had urged the government to tighten laws on such threats.
…
Faisal was joined by some 20 other division youth members.

The threat: “Fireworks” would be set off in courthouses late tomorrow in protest!
If it happens, WHEN AND WHERE WILL ‘FIREWORKS’ BE SET OFF?
On Chinese New Year’s Eve at some obscure courthouse in a small town?

MCMC teams up with cops to track down ‘Isis Malaysia 69’ video owner
CYBERJAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is working with the police to track down the owner of the YouTube account ‘Isis Malaysia 69’, according to MCMC chairman Datuk Seri Dr Halim Shafie.
“Whatever help is needed we will provide. We are already in touch with the police and are cooperating with them,” he said this to reporters when asked to comment on the video.
Halim said this after witnessing an exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MCMC and the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) here on Tuesday.
Bukit Aman CID director Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh said police would collaborate with MCMC to track down the video owner and take legal action under Section 124C of the Penal Code for offences affecting parliamentary democracy.
“The individual is also liable for legal action under the Special Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA),” he said at a press conference at the Kuala Muda district police headquarters here.

Nazri’s son’s GF – actress Nora Danish – denies involvement with ISIS attack threat
KUALA LUMPUR – An actress depicted in a video by a group of self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) members, who were threatening to attack Malaysian courthouses, lodged a police report today.
The video showed four masked men holding up a picture of actress Nora Danish while threatening to bomb courthouses on Wednesday, but did not directly mention the actress, Malay daily Berita Harian reported.
“I found out about this through a friend this afternoon. I’ve watched the video myself. They clearly don’t mention my name. In fact, what is being discussed also has nothing to do with me.
“It seems that in the video they are holding my picture. I don’t want to comment further. All I can say is I will lodge a police report in a while,” Nora was quoted as saying to the daily.
Bukit Aman’s counter-terrorism division senior official Datuk Ayub Khan confirmed today that the police will be investigating the video but declined to confirm if the video is a hoax, as claimed on social media.

Cops probing alleged ‘ISIS’ court attack threat
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 ― The police are investigating the video by a group of self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) members threatening to attack Malaysian courthouses with explosives this Wednesday.
Bukit Aman’s counter-terrorism division senior official Datuk Ayub Khan confirmed the probe but declined to confirm if the video is a hoax, as claimed on social media.
“I can’t say much yet but we are investigating it,” he said in a brief text message to Malay Mail Online.
At the time of writing, attempts to reach Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar for comment have been unsuccessful.
The video uploaded on YouTube yesterday by “isis malaysia 69” shows four masked men garbed in black in front of a Malaysian flag. Three are standing, with one holding up what appears to be a molotov cocktail, while the fourth man is seated at a table with three more molotov cocktails and appears to be reading from a script.
The seated man said claimed that explosives would be planted at courthouses at 11.30pm on Wednesday to symbolise their loss of faith in democracy.
“To whichever party that has been in power for too long, we Malaysian youth, in 2015, announce the outcome of trickery and manipulation in democracy,” said the man, who spoke in Malay.
“We will set off ‘mercun’ in courts as a symbol of the destruction of one of the tools used in the democratic system. We have just started and we will go even further. The more damaged the democracy that you destroy, the more we will fight,” he added.
The man, however, did not specify what had triggered their plan to bomb Malaysian courts.
It is also unclear who is the woman featured on a piece of paper that the man was reading from as he made no references to her.
