Singapore detains Singaporean Muhammad Irfan Danyal, 18, who had planned attacks on other people and various places

Posted on February 1, 2023 by weehingthong

An 18-year-old student in Singapore has been detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA), after he planned to carry out attacks in the country using a knife and bombs. Muhammad Irfan Danyal Mohamad Nor had been self-radicalised with Islamic State propaganda. Singapore authorities say he acted alone. Irfan was arrested in December. Home Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam said the 18-year-old was detained under the ISA because he was assessed to be an imminent security threat.

PETALING JAYA: A man said to be in his 30’s is believed to have burnt to death after a condominium unit caught fire in Damansara Perdana here.

The body of the man was discovered near the main door of the unit which led police and the Fire and Rescue Department to believe that he was trying to escape when he collapsed and died.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said police were alerted to the incident which occurred at around 9.12pm on Tuesday (Jan 31).

“The fire occurred in a unit on the 21st floor of the condominium.

“Initially the Fire and Rescue Department faced difficulty putting out the fire due to water pressure issues,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 1).

He said when the fire was put out they found the body of a man believed to be in his 30’s lying near the front door.

“The body suffered at least 40% burns and skin and clothing samples have been taken to help identify the victim.

Can the police prevent you from lodging a report by refusing to let you into the police station due to their so-called dress code?

Posted on February 1, 2023 by weehingthong

Kesopanan & kesusilaan is not exclusive fr dresscodes alone Mr IGP. It is fr behaviour & conduct of ur men & women in blue too.
You're setting a bad exmple by defending this.
Assisting a victim of accident shld be priority!
Step down if you're more interested in what she wore. https://t.co/B9vAVK8z1h

Former PJ OCPD, Mr Nik Ezanee during his tenure in PJ has changed the dress code — he said, no right minded person would come to lodge a report unless they have to, so it does not matter how they dress. https://t.co/zmiceihgkN
