Annuar Musa hit by another allegation of SOP flouting
Published 13 Feb 2021, 11:05 pm
Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa has been hit with another round of allegations that he had again flouted the second movement control order’s SOPs.
This is after a photo of him and six others sitting at a long banquet table for a meal this morning began circulating online.
In the photo, a banner welcoming Annuar to an urban farming programme event dated today was strung up behind the minister.
Under the current standard operating procedures, dining in an enclosed place is allowed but limited to two people per table.
In a Facebook post, believed to be referring to the incident, the minister said he only sat down for a short time before shifting elsewhere.
“When I was at the farm, I sat down for a moment and moved because the organiser did not follow SOPs.
“It is not because I was unwilling or did not appreciate the host, but they must follow SOPs. I apologise and hope no one is offended,” he said.
Photos of his visit to the urban farm were attached to the post but not the one of him sitting down for a meal.
Malaysiakini has contacted Annuar for comment.

Minister walking in trio has netizens pointing to SOP breach
Published 29 Jan 2021, 3:42 pm
Social media users have rapped Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa after he posted a photograph of him taking a walk in a group of three amidst the movement control order (MCO).
Under the MCO, only two types of outdoor activities are allowed – jogging and cycling. Joggers can either jog alone or in pairs within their housing areas.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin previously said only members from the same household could exercise outdoors together, but this requirement is not stated in National Security Council guidelines.
All states except Sarawak are presently under MCO.
Yesterday, Annuar tweeted an image of him walking outdoors with two others in an undisclosed location.
“Walk with me.
“This morning (with) former Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) mayor Nordin Razak and Nik Aminaldin Nik Jaafar,” he wrote.
Nik Aminaldin is a former treasurer of the Kelantan Football Association (Kafa), which Annuar used to head.
.
Dozens of Twitter users questioned if the Ketereh MP had violated MCO standard operating procedures (SOPs). Some even tagged the authorities to bring the matter to their attention.
