What not to say when you are a leader?
The answer has been made easy by the Kedah Menteri Besar: don’t insinuate by saying one is “drunk on the toddy of popularity”. pic.twitter.com/3iEgNRVl99
Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, I believe, is an arrogant and ignorant man who doesn’t deserve to be a leader, especially in a multi-racial, multi-religious country like ours. His words come from a place of hate and disrespect despite being fully aware of the consequences of his actions.— Charles Santiago (@mpklang) December 5, 2020
Or is it too much to ask from Sanusi?— Charles Santiago (@mpklang) December 5, 2020
I would also like to know if the Kedah MB’s misplaced responses are endorsed by PAS chief, Abdul Hadi Awang.
And it’s equally disheartening to see no leadership from Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is yet to reprimand
It’s therefore not an exaggeration to say that Sanusi’s actions are potentially explosive.— Charles Santiago (@mpklang) December 5, 2020
If he doesn’t get this and doesn’t apologise he should step down or be sacked by PAS for being a danger to the Malaysian society.
But we need to speak up now, to ensure such incidents don’t keep repeating in the future.— Charles Santiago (@mpklang) December 5, 2020

The Kedah MB used phrases like 'mabuk todi' and 'minum sebotol, mabuk dua tiga botol' against those who spoke up against the Hindu temple demolition in Kedah.— Syahredzan シア (@syahredzan) December 5, 2020
This is the sort of disrespect that PAS politicians have for other races.
Unacceptable. A disgrace. https://t.co/WLd4uf8P17 pic.twitter.com/MMCqjNnkx1
In a statement responding to MIC and defending the decision to demolish a Hindu temple, the Kedah MB makes two references to drunkenness – "mabuk todi popularity" and "jangan minium hanya sebotol, mabuknya dua tiga botol".— Aidila Razak (@aidilarazak) December 5, 2020

A diversionary strategy by this MB, instead of focusing on the demolition criticism, he ventures into this hurtful stereotyping exercise https://t.co/4XiWmzdhN5— Hannah Yeoh (@hannahyeoh) December 5, 2020
Show me one example of Sanusi speaking to a Malay or Chinese person using the word todi. Just one.— Syahredzan シア (@syahredzan) December 5, 2020

The clownish and uncouth Kedah MB is the worst MB in the history of Kedah. Can't think of anyone else worse than him. Not even Sanusi Junid or the late Ustaz Azizan comes close.— Shahnon Salleh 🇲🇾 (@shahnonsalleh) December 5, 2020
