DYAM Brigadier Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota Johor

Lastly Tan Sri, before you comment on other clubs or states, please focus on managing KAFA properly first. Don’t waste your time probing into other teams or clubs. Settle the debt of RM6.7M before talking about other matters and mind your own business. In my humble opinion, when Tun Dr Mahathir gave you the money to wrestle back Kelantan, you should’ve used it wisely for their welfare instead of buying a Porsche Panamera.

Annuar zips lips on prince’s Porsche allegation
Umno information minister Annuar Musa refused to comment on Johor crown prince’s insinuation that he used funds meant for Kelantan to buy himself a luxury car.
“Strictly no comment,” he said when contacted.
Tunku Ismail Ibrahim had earlier said Annuar should have used funds allegedly allocated to wrest Kelantan back from PAS for people’s welfare “instead of buying a Porsche Panamera”.
The prince said that after Annuar said the Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT) is ruining the football scene by overpaying players.
JDT is owned by Tunku Ismail, while Annuar recently resigned as president of Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) which is in financial dire straits.
Annuar’s refusal to comment comes as Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman urged him to apologise for allegedly offending Tunku Ismail.
“I advise Annuar to reflect before questioning the management of JDT under Tunku Ismail.
“Resolve the problems faced by Kafa, don’t just abandon it in hopes that the federal or state government will save it,” Syed Saddiq said.

Don’t be a nosy parker, TMJ tells Annuar Musa
Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has fired another salvo at Umno information chief Annuar Musa, this time urging the latter to mind his own business.
“Don’t waste your time probing into other teams or clubs. Settle the debt of RM6.7 million before talking about other matters and mind your own business,” said Tunku Ismail in a statement posted on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page.
Tunku Ismail was responding to Annuar’s allegations that Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) was destroying the local football scene by overpaying their players. Tunku Ismail is the owner of JDT.
Annuar had also reportedly questioned use of state facilities by JDT, which is a private club.
“All stadiums in Johor indeed belongs to the Johor state government, and in turn, the government belongs to the Johor Royal Family that has existed since 1885.
“It means that it is His Majesty the Sultan of Johor’s prerogative on how to utilise all the state’s properties,” he said.
Annuar had in a Facebook posting on Dec 24 said football cannot survive today without political or government assistance, citing how an unnamed privately owned club had been given exclusive rights to train at state-owned stadiums.
In a thinly veiled warning, Tunku Ismail also reminded Annuar that Johor has so far remained an Umno stronghold, but things could change if Umno does not behave.
“The day for people to cast their votes is edging closer, so don’t stir up a hornet’s nest because there will be consequences,” he warned.
“Don’t be a liability to your own party. You clearly have your own interest within the party.”

Failures also offer lessons, Annuar Musa shoots back at TMJ
Following a royal swipe yesterday, Umno information chief Annuar Musa said lessons can be learned from both those who are successful and those who are failures.
“There are things to be learned from successful people, and maybe there is a lot to learn from those who are failures too,” Annuar said in a Facebook posting today.
He added what is important is to be moderate and be willing to be advised and to give honest and good advise.
In a later Facebook posting which accompanied a photo of himself with Tunku Ismail, Annuar said those who have failed must be ready to be insulted.
He added it is not impossible for failures to become successes, just as successful people should be ready to fail one day.

I don’t take advice from failed leader, TMJ says, taking swipe at Umno info chief
Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at Umno information chief Annuar Musa, stressing that he will not take advice from leaders who “failed to lead”.
“I don’t need to take advice from a leader who has failed to lead,” he said in a Facebook posting.
This was after Annuar, who last month resigned as Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) president, advised Tunku Ismail to decide if he wanted to become the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president and not govern by proxy.
Tunku Ismail did not name Annuar, merely addressing him as “a Tan Sri” and ripped into him for leading Kafa into further financial trouble despite a RM16 million sponsorship by Vida Beauty.
“When you were in the position where you had numerous sponsors, you should have used that opportunity to clear all your debts.
“Instead, you made the executive decision to employ a new foreign coach as well as three additional foreign players.
“With this decision, the ones who fell victim were the local players as they didn’t receive their salaries. Priority should be given to the local players and not the foreigners.
“It clearly shows that you overpaid these foreigners and as a result, you were not able to sustain the club,” he said.
The Kelantan football team, once a top team known as The Red Warriors, is now mulling to drop out of the Malaysia Super League due to lack of funds.
Tunku Ismail said Kafa’s woes did not end there as its performance began to deteriorate and it was apparent the “ship was sinking”.
“To make things worse as a leader, you chose to abandon the ship leaving them to suffer.
“And it’s embarrassing when in that situation, you still have the desire to be FAM’s president,” he said in reference to Annuar’s resignation from Kafa last month.

THE BEST WOULD BE TO LET THE AFFILIATES AND THE FANS DECIDE ON WHAT IS THE BEST FOR MALAYSIAN FOOTBALL
Recently, there was a statement made by a Tan Sri, urging that football shouldn’t be run through proxies and that I should decide and make a decision on taking the job or not. To me, the best would be to let the affiliates and the fans decide on what is best for Malaysian football. First of all, I don’t need to take advice from a leader who have failed to lead.
Whenever a football club or a company faces financial problems, it is called mismanagement. It also ultimately reflects on the leader. When you were in the position where you had numerous sponsors, you should have used that opportunity to clear all your debts. Instead, you made the executive decision to employ a new foreign coach as well as 3 additional foreign players. With this decision, the ones who fell victim were the local players as they didn’t receive their salaries. Priority should be given to the local players and not the foreigners. It clearly shows that you overpaid these foreigners and as a result, you were not able to sustain the club.
It did not end here. Kelantan’s performance began to deteriorate and it was evident that the ship was sinking. To make things worse as a leader, you chose to abandon the ship leaving them to suffer. And it’s embarrassing when in that situation, you still have the desire to be FAM’s President.
So my advice to you is, concentrate on your political work. You are a very seasoned and senior politician and we respect the work that you’ve done. Hence, please focus on your political obligations and may you be able to clear the mess and scandal in Mara. Let’s leave it to the people to decide on what is best for Malaysian football.
Football did not give me any benefits. It’s just the sport that i love. The difference between me and certain individuals is they serve a political ideology and for their own personal interests. I serve the people.
