Two taken to hospital after accident on SLE

Two people in a lorry were injured in an accident on Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Tuesday morning after a driver crashed his sedan into the lorry.

The impact flipped the lorry first onto its side and then upside down.

The badly-damaged sedan ended up on the right side of SLE, in the direction of Woodlands, after the Yio Chu Kang exit.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call at about 9.30am and sent an ambulance, said a spokesman.

The lorry driver, 56, and passenger, 21, were taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The 22-year-old male driver of the sedan was arrested in relation to the accident, said a police spokesman.
