Tigerair plane makes emergency landing after Singaporean passenger’s death

BANGKOK — Tigerair Flight PR 2177 from Thailand’s Chiang Mai to Singapore made an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in the capital Bangkok yesterday (Jan 12) after a Singaporean man died on board, according to Thai media.

The 58-year-old passenger, named by Thai news site Khaosod as Mr Seet Ngow Chai, had been travelling with his Thai wife and three family members at the time.

Thai PBS reported that the man’s wife told airport officials that her husband was suffering from chronic illness.
