Viral video of worms in honey chicken prompts investigation

SEREMBAN: A video of worms wiggling in a piece of honey chicken at a restaurant here has gone viral on Facebook since Thursday, prompting the state Health authorities to launch an investigation.

The 57-second video, captured by a customer at a restaurant in Rahang was uploaded to Facebook. At time of writing, the video had more than 14,000 views and 400 shares.

The person who took the video claimed that he was having his meal – honey chicken and rice at the restaurant at about 6.30pm when he discovered worms in the chicken.

He said that he then informed the premise owner and staff of the discovery.

However, he claimed that the owner shirked responsibility and blamed the chicken supplier for the incident.
