“There’s a sucker born every minute” is a phrase most likely spoken by David Hannum, in criticism of both P. T. Barnum, an American showman of the mid 19th century, and his customers. The phrase is often credited to Barnum himself. It means “Many people are gullible, and we can expect this to continue.”

College student duped into submitting nude pictures for modelling job

…
A college student is furious that she has been duped into handing over nude pictures of herself for a bogus modelling job.
The 17-year-old victim, who wants to be known as Lee, said she had on December 3 received via WhatsApp an offer of a a modelling job at the swimming pool of a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
“I received a message from Kak Aini in our WhatsApp group saying that a freelance photographer called Amy was looking for models and those interested should contact her.

“Amy then asked me for nude pictures of myself on the day of the photo shoot. I sent her four pictures of myself in a few positions at 11.30am. Amy said the nude pictures were to ensure that I didn’t have any tattoos.
“I went to the hotel at 5pm for the photo shoot. I was told by the hotel staff that there were no bookings for a photo shoot and when I contacted Amy, she didn’t answer her phone. That was when I realised that I had been cheated and lodged a police report,” she said.
Another model who wished to be known as Goh, 23, said she also contacted Amy for the same modelling job at the hotel.
“Amy also asked me for pictures of myself wearing only my underwear and I sent her the pictures. Then Amy asked for my nude pictures but I did not agree to send them. I told her that it was not my policy to give out nude pictures of myself.
“To convince me that it was alright to send the nude pictures, Amy showed me a letter from a modelling agency confirming that they were sending their models to the photo shoot. Amy also sent me some nude photos of the models,” she said.
Goh said she become suspicious and contacted the modelling agency.
“The agency said Amy had requested for models but did not ask for nude pictures. I then lodged a police report,” she said.
