KUALA LUMPUR: A woman detained last Monday for allegedly disturbing her neighbour was charged today with damaging her neighbour’s property.
Teh Siew Lian claimed trial at the magistrate’s court with causing mischief involving property belonging to one Tan Kai Choy, 58. The victim allegedly suffered RM5,000 in loss as a result.

The accused pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to her in Mandarin by an interpreter. She claimed she did not understand the charge.

Magistrate Ashraf Rezal Abdul Manan ordered her be sent for mental evaluation at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Tanjung Rambutan, Perak.
He also fixed mention on Jan 19 for the prosecution to tender the medical report.

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman who has been terrorising her neighbours for several years has been arrested by police.
The woman had allegedly been very confrontational with her neighbours in Wangsa Maju and eight police reports had been lodged against her.
One of the neighbours, who only wanted to be known as Tan, 58, said the woman had been that way since she moved into the neighbourhood more than six years ago.

“She shattered my car windows with marbles and also damaged two other cars belonging to my family,” he said, adding that on Monday, the woman smeared paint all over a Perodua Myvi belonging to his son’s girlfriend.

Acting Wangsa Maju OCPD Deputy Supt A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said police were forced to step in after the latest incident.
“We were alerted after a police report was lodged that the car had been smeared with red and black paint.
“The woman had also broken the porch lights and some flower pots in front of her neighbour’s house,” he said when contacted yesterday.
DSP Asmadi said this latest incident was recorded on video by another neighbour.

“Suspek dibawa ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Wangsa Maju untuk siasatan lanjut,” katanya.
Beliau berkata, pemeriksaan lanjut mendapati suspek tidak mempunyai sebarang rekod psikiatrik, namun jiran suspek mengadu tidak tahan dengan provokasi melampau suspek termasuk membaling daging khinzir ke dapur rumah jiran.
