Thief using my wife’s credit card to buy jewelry in Penang

It happened on the 1st of May 2014, my wife has been on duty for a property exhibition event held at Queensbay Mall, Penang. Everything was fine until she received a call from HSBC bank asking about a retail transaction made at Kedai Emas Bong Loh Soon at Bukit Jambul Complex amounting RM3,800.00. This was actually the 2nd transaction made with the same card, the 1st transaction has been made at the same store but there was no notification from the bank amounting RM1,340.00. Thus she denied any authorisation given for both of the transactions. There’s another transaction that he tried at Tomei Jewelry amounting RM4,000+ but has been denied by the bank.

Realizing something isn’t right, she went to the place where all other staff members kept their belonging to check. She was surprised that her handbag was missing, so she quickly went to the customer service counter to seek assistance but found her handbag there. Someone must have found her handbag and returned to the customer service counter. Thank you whoever that has returned her handbag. All her stuff including her car key and her COACH wristlet remained but her cash, her Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, her company NOKIA handphone, Maybank ATM card and her HSBC Platinum credit card were stolen. We also got to know that this thief has stolen another 2 credit cards from another colleague at the exhibition area.

We have contacted the gold shop owner at Bukit Jambul Complex and managed to get the CCTV footage of this thief. We have taken the photo of the signed merchant slip of both transactions amounting RM1,340.00 and RM3,800.00. We have also made police reports at Queensbay police station and Jalan Patani police station. To the member of the public we seek for your help to share this CCTV footage so that we are able to catch this culprit.
