Model’s mum: It’s just some personal problems

PETALING JAYA: The mother of 23-year-old model Germaine Ong has brushed off her daughter’s disappearance, simply saying that it was due to some “personal problems”.

The mother, who only wanted to be known as Ong, confirmed that her daughter was safe after news circulated on the Internet that her daughter was missing after seeing “dirty things” in the condominium she recently rented.

“She is here now,” Ong said when contacted yesterday.

Ong declined to elaborate on her daughter’s disappearance.

She is a close family friend of somebody I know, and they have asked me to assist them in search for her last night.

This is what had actually happened, she just moved into a newly rented condominium, called her mum at night and reported sightings of ghostly figures, even talked to the wall and claimed that she was scared. They met her the next day at 1pm and claimed that she seems like hallucinating. Went missing later on!

Hope this helps to clear up some confusion. No offense to anyone here and thanks for all your concern.

Missing model who saw ‘ghost’ safe and sound

PETALING JAYA: Facebook was abuzz with news of a 23-year-old model who went missing after allegedly seeing “ghosts” in her condominium.

Her mother, who only wanted to be known as Ong, confirmed that Germaine Ong was safe.

Ong, who declined to elaborate on why her daughter had gone missing, said that it was due to “personal matters”.

“She is already here now,” she said when contacted on Thursday.

According to a Facebook posting, Germaine went missing after she moved to a condominium she rented.

A posting said the model called her mum on Tuesday night telling her she saw “dirty things” in the condominium.

Another posting alleged that Germaine spoke to the walls in her condominium for the whole day.

“She said that if the next morning she died, which means the ‘Ghost’ has eaten her,” it stated.

[Update] Germaine Ong has OFFICIALLY been found by Head of Community Police Mr. Kuan. We have personally called up her mother and confirmed that she has been found. She said that was scared and left to a nearby Hotel. She has not been harmed/touched by anybody suspicious.

Her mother’s voice sounded very happy and would like to thank all her friends, relatives and facebook friends for sharing her picture as much as possible during the night

AFTER IT WAS REPORTED THAT SHE HAD TURNED UP, SAFE AND SOUND, THE FACEBOOK COMMENTS WERE HARDLY SUPPORTIVE.

*Someone suggested that she was merely looking for cheap publicity. Another said that it was her employers who benefitted from the publicity.
