INCREDIBLE BN SPIN ON ALTANTUYA: Not Najib or Rosmah but AMBIGA, CHINESE TO BLAME!

Written by  MAILBAG

……….

A FOOTNOTE TO DANGER

What many of the commentators in places like Malaysia who have only recently discovered the very dark murky world of espionage and international arms deals must realise is that in the business of defence procurement there are no friends, no right, nor wrong. There are simply interests that need to be protected at all costs. And the Altantuya’s of this world are volunteers who become dispensable commodities in pursuit of something larger and more sinister.

This week saw the demise of a multi billionaire Russian Oligarch Boris Berezovsky living under the protection of Britain’s MI5 and the watchful eye of the Mossad. Like Shapur Bakhtiar the former Iranian Prime Minister murdered whilst living in Exile under the protection of the French government, his death too reveals a more sinister and dangerous side to this business.

Ambiga, Anwar and their cohorts in the Malaysian Bar and its opposition political parties seeking the violent overthrow of democratic governments are known to have have received money from the likes of Berezovski in London channeled via more legitimate groups like “NGO’s”.

Berezovski funded the so called “Orange Revolution’ in the Ukraine which failed dismally leading to the arrest and long term imprisonment of their leaders including the short term Prime Minister at the helm of the revolution. It carried the same brand of fireworks and rhetoric of Ambiga and Bersih and their allies. They borrowed these from the Berezovski inspired and financed camps, from the other shadowy groups like  civil societies, the NED and the Malaysian expatriate communities in the UK.

Berezovsky felt invincible like Shapur Bakhtia, the Ambigas and Altantuyas of this world. Each of them believed or believe they had  powerful “friends” in high places and were likewise invincible and out of reach off domestic law. On the basis of this false premise each of them took liberties against the longer term interests of their handlers. In this case the French , the British, the Americans.

What each of them failed to take into account is that right throughout history, in such situations when the utility of each of these pawns had diminished all of them without exception found themselves unprotected without friends and in untenable situations leaving them to fend for themselves facing the most horrible ends.

Future dim for PI Bala’s family

Anisah Shukry | March 20, 2013

With Balasubramaniam’s death, his wife and three children are now in dire financial state.

…as the shock wears off and Malaysians move on, his family is left picking up the pieces of a shattered life – a life already strained five years ago, when Balasubramaniam’s declarations regarding the prime minister forced his family to flee the country.

Now, with Balasubramaniam dead, his wife, A Santamil Selvi, and three teenaged children are stranded in Malaysia with diminishing funds and a rapidly dimming future.

Funeral expenses, education fees and mortgages are weighing heavily on the widow’s mind, who is currently homebound in accordance with Hindu tradition.
……….

In a bid to keep the bereaved family afloat, Loh is now initiating a fund-raising campaign and is appealing to the public to donate any money they can spare for the widowed Santamil Selvi and her fatherless children.

“The priority is for Bala’s children to be given the opportunity to finish their education, and to ensure that someone who sacrificed all he had for the nation, would not have his family left in poverty,” said Loh.
Balasubramaniam’s lawyer, Americk Singh Sidhu, said the funds would immediately be used to help Santamil Selvi and her children return to India, where they had been residing for the past five years.

“His children must go back to India as they have been schooling there for five years. It would be too difficult for them to adapt to the school system here, especially after all the trauma they recently went through,” said Americk.

“The funds will also go towards basic requirements such as food, clothes, mortgage, education… Monthly expenditure can easily reach up to RM15,000,” he added.

……….

Black magic?

Only on Tuesday, Bala told FMT that he would rest for at least a month following his mild heart attack last week, putting the breaks on the opposition’s plans for his nationwide ceramah before the 13th general election.

He had said he may still have to undergo major heart surgery, saying that he would have to return to the hospital today (Friday).

“It was a sudden, mild attack, and the doctors told me that three of my vessels are blocked, so I may have to go for a major operation. This Friday, the doctors will redo the tests on me and decide whether I have to undergo heart operation or just a stenting,” Balasubramaniam had said then.

Balasubramaniam had also denied that he was suffering from heart problems due to black magic as claimed by PKR leader Badrul Hisham Shaharin.

“I don’t believe in [black magic]. I believe in God only, and I know God is with me, that’s why I am able to get treatment, and that’s why I didn’t collapse when I first felt the symptoms while giving a ceramah in Kelantan,” he had said.

Since his return to Malaysia, he had been involved in PKR roadshows to implicate Najib with Altantuya

Court to hear ex-cops’ appeal over Altantuya murder

March 15, 2013

PUTRAJAYA, March 15 — The Court of Appeal will convene for three days, beginning June 10, to hear an appeal by two former police Special Action Unit personnel in connection with the murder of a Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006.

Lawyer Kitson Foong, representing former corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, said Court of Appeal deputy registrar Darmafikri Abu Adam had informed the prosecution and defence in the case that Court of Appeal president Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif had given instructions that the appeal be heard on June 10 until June 12.

He said, since the hearing dates fell within the court vacation period, a special panel would be convened to hear the appeal.

He also told reporters that both the prosecution and defence were required to file their written submissions, two weeks before June 10.

IN SHOCK over P.I. Bala’s death: The fight for justice will GO ON!

Written by  Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

UPDATE2 KUALA LUMPUR – The man who gave the nation its first inkling that not all was right in the government’s investigation of the controversial Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case has died at age 53.

Private investigator P Balasubramaniam, a former member of the Malaysian police force, died on Friday of a heart attack a week after returning home from hospital, where he had gone to seek treatment.

“His body has been taken to the Sungai Buloh hospital,” Americk Sidhu, the lawyer who drafted Bala’s astonishing first statutory declaration, confirmed.

“It was very unexpected. I’m devastated. I think he’s probably one of the best Malaysians we had,” Malaysian Insider reported Americk as saying.
……….

Deepak Jaikishan, who had allegedly funded Bala’s stay in Chennai where Bala and his family had fled to in the wake of the damning SD against Najib, was in shock.

“Please send my deepest condolences to Bala’s family,” was all that the usually chatty Deepak would say when contacted by Malaysia Chronicle.

PI Bala passes away in Rawang
3:02PM Mar 15, 2013

Private investigator P Balasubramaniam passed away in Rawang this afternoon, apparently from a heart attack.

He checked out of the Sime Darby Medical Centre on Tuesday, but suffered breathing difficulties when having lunch at his home in Rawang about 1.40pm.

“After a medical check-up in Subang Jaya (this morning), Bala came back like normal. Then after lunch, he had something like hiccups, and then he collapsed.

“We rushed him to a clinic, the ambulance came, but the doctors said he had passed way,” said Bala’s friend Ganeson Suppiah, who added that he was with Bala at that time.

Ganeson said the doctors said Bala was already dead by the time he was taken to the clinic, and efforts to resuscitate him proved futile.

The truth about PI Bala’s first SD

COMMENT Allow me to start from the very beginning. This is a long story, so please bear with me.

M Puravalen, (or Valen, as he is known to his colleagues), and I studied law together, at the Inns of Court, London, in 1980-81.

I have had a long and close relationship with Valen for the past 33 years. He has done nothing in that period of time that would make me suspect he was anything but a forthright and credible member of the legal profession.

I was introduced to former private investigator P Balasubramaniam or PI Bala (left) and ASP Suresh by Valen at a restaurant (Fogles, to be precise) at Plaza Damas in Sri Hartamas sometime in April 2008. It was a chance meeting. There were others present, and they can confirm this.
……….

I pause to point out at this stage that neither myself, nor Bala, had had any communication whatsoever with Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar did not even feature in the equation. The entire purpose of this exercise was to ensure justice for the murdered Mongolian girl and her family. There was no political angle involved.
……….

I wish to reiterate that no one had offered Bala or me any money to do this. If they had, I would have jettisoned the whole exercise immediately and distanced myself from it in no uncertain terms. I believed what Bala had told me, for the details and coincidences involved could not possibly have been concocted.

I am sure Valen will be confirming this independently, that he did not receive any money from any party or person for his involvement and neither was he instructed to pay Bala anything, contrary to what has been alleged in RPK’s latest article.

Sounds intriguing? Read the rest in:

Americk defends Anwar, PI Bala

G Vinod | March 14, 2013

He says his client is being slandered by “armchair eunuchs”.

PETALING JAYA: Private investigator P Balasubramaniam’s lawyer has denied that Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim promised to pay his client for the statutory declaration that he affirmed on July 1, 2008, which alleged the involvement of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak in the murder of Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaariibu.

Responding to a recent article by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, Americk Siddhu said his client did receive money for affirming a statutory declaration, but the paymaster was businessman Deepak Jaikishan and the declaration was one that came on July 4, 2008, contradicting the earlier one.

“Balasubramaniam has sacrificed a lot and yet he is being slandered by a bunch of armchair eunuchs who have nothing better to do than to pour scorn on his efforts to pursue what is right,” said Americk.

‘Altantuya doesn’t want me to die yet’

EXCLUSIVE Divine intervention and a guardian spirit saved him from a close brush with death.

So believes former private investigator P Balasubramaniam, who was on March 3 warded in the cardiac unit of a private hospital in Selangor after being diagnosed with clogged coronary vessels.

Balasubramaniam, 53, believes he could have died from a heart attack at any time after leaving India to return home last month to campaign for opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat, or during the many speaking engagements scheduled for him.

Better known as PI Bala, he is strong in his faith that “the man upstairs” and the spirit of the murdered Mongolian woman still needed him to continue with his crusade.

“Every year, on Oct 19, I pray for her. I hope one day justice will be done,” Bala told Malaysiakini in an exclusive interview on Monday.

His battle, he said, was not only for the murdered Mongolian but also for the “scapegoats” blamed for the crime.

PI Bala to take a break after heart attack

Anisah Shukry | March 12, 2013

The private investigator will resume his ceramah and campaign after concentrating on his health for at least a month.

PETALING JAYA: Private investigator P Balasubramaniam said today he would rest for at least a month following last week’s mild heart attack, putting the breaks on the opposition’s plans for his nationwide ceramah before the 13th general election.

Balasubramaniam told FMT he has been warded at the Sime Darby Medical Centre, Subang Jaya, since March 5, and will be discharged today.

However, he said he may still have to undergo major heart surgery.

“It was a sudden, mild attack, and the doctors told me that three of my vessels are blocked, so I may have to go for a major operation. This Friday the doctors will redo the tests on me and decide whether I have to undergo heart operation or just a stenting,” Balasubramaniam said today.

(A stenting is a procedure whereby a tiny tube is placed into an artery to hold it open.)

“Now they are allowing me to go back, do some exercise, they have given me some medicine. So for the time being, I am going to concentrate on my health, for at least a month. After that I will go back for ceramah.”

PI Bala: I wasn’t promised RM700,000

Anisah Shukry | March 11, 2013

Raja Petra Kamarudin is writing bullshit stories, says private investigator P Balasubramaniam.

PETALING JAYA: Private investigator P Balasubramaniam swears he was not promised payment for the 2008 statutory declaration (SD) linking Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.

Bala said this in response to claims by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin that Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim had personally promised the private investigator RM700,000 if he agreed to come up with the first SD by July 1, 2008.

Citing a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) source, Raja Petra had said Anwar wanted the SD to implicate Najib, who was then defence minister, so that his Sept 16 plan of becoming prime minister would succeed.

“I swear on my mother, I do not know anything about this RM700,000. All these accusations against me are bullshit,” Bala told FMT today.

——–

Raja Petra Tales

The first time the prominent lawyer brought Balasubramaniam to meet Anwar, Raja Petra said he was promised RM700,000.00 if he agreed to come up with the SD by July 1, 2008.

“Anwar had agreed to pay the RM700,000 through the lawyer and the payment was to be made in two stages – Part A, RM200,000, immediately and Part B, RM500,000, after the press conference.

On July 1, 2008, Balasubramaniam made the SD and proceeded to conduct the press conference on July 3, 2008, organised by Anwar and his lawyers at the PKR headquarters.

“Unfortunately for Balasubramaniam, after the press conference, the lawyer only paid him RM100,000 although he had received RM200,000 from Anwar.

“The lawyer told Balasubramaniam that Anwar had instructed for the balance to be paid after a few days. The balance of RM500,000 – the lawyer pocketed all to himself without Balasubramaniam knowing,” he added.

“Yes, it must be debated. I will respond to the matter during the AGM,” the outgoing council president said.

“Yes, he said he will only speak with the council after March 16,” Lim said.

Private Investigator P.Balasubramaniam Missing

July 5, 2008 | By adiwira In Politik |

Malaysian police said Sunday they had asked Interpol to help find a private investigator who has been reported missing since making explosive claims linking the deputy premier to a murder.

The case is linked to a political brawl between opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak, which could decide who is the next leader of Malaysia.

At a press conference Thursday organised by Anwar, private investigator Balasubramaniam Perumal released a sworn statement accusing Najib of having an affair with 28-year-old Altantuya Shaariibuu, who was murdered in 2006 and her body blown up with explosives in a remote forest.

A close friend of the deputy premier, who hired Balasubramaniam in the days before the Mongolian woman’s brutal slaying, is on trial for abetting the murder.

Balasubramaniam said he had detailed information about Najib’s relationship with Altantuya which he gave police but which was never raised at the trial, or in a police report he was asked to sign.

Najib reacted angrily, saying he had never met Altantuya and “absolutely” did not have a sexual relationship with her. He said the allegations were a fabrication “designed to tarnish my image”.
……….

In the next shock development, Balasubramanian retracted the allegations on Friday, saying he made them under duress.

His nephew on Saturday filed a missing person’s report, saying the investigator and his family had disappeared.

Criminal Investigation Department director Bakri Zinin said Malaysian police had enlisted the help of Interpol and authorities in neighbouring countries to help locate him.

“It’s a bit too soon for me to say [if we shall collaborate], but we are definitely on the same team. We both want justice. He is a very brave man, and I pray that his endeavours are successful,” Deepak told FMT when contacted today.

He said he would approach Bala, as he is popularly known, for a chat over drinks in the next few days.

“I swear on this holy book that the first SD was the truth. But the circumstances that happened to me that night [after I produced the first SD] forced me to change.

“I m very sorry. But the truth can only be the truth. My lawyer and I sat for two months to draft the first SD,” he told reporters on arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport here.
