Myvi driver jailed, fined for reckless driving on MRR2, using fake registration number

A Perodua Myvi driver, who was caught on video provoking, obstructing and threatening road users on the MRR2 near Taman Layang-Layang in Kepong early this month, was slapped with two separate charges at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court on Monday (May 30).

The white Perodua Myvi seen in the viral video bullying other road users has been arrested. The suspect will be remanded until 13-May-2022.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (JSPT) chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh told Sinar Harian that the suspect, a 32-year-old man, was arrested around the Kuala Selangor district.

The Kuala Selangor district police’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division carried out the arrest on 9-May-2022. Sarifudin also confirms that the suspect was using a fake number plate.

The police have been on the hunt for the white Perodua Myvi driver since a clip of the Myvi bullying other road users went viral on Saturday.
