More confusion than help at MySejahtera kiosk irks users
February 19, 2022 8:30 PM
PETALING JAYA: Complaints have burst out on social media of people encountering confusion and poor organisation when seeking assistance from the MySejahtera helpdesk kiosk which opened at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur today.
Netizens who vented their anger said it appeared that little had been done to prepare for the first day of operations.
Hundreds of people made a beeline to the kiosk only to be told that it is limited to 500 people today.
One Instagram user said there were no signs and directions to guide and indicate where users were supposed to queue as the place was also used for those coming for their vaccination.
He said many of them had to take a long walk to the front to find out if they were in the right queue.
Another user on Facebook said with the rush, many were also not observing a proper physical distance, giving rise to concern of a spread in Covid-19 among those in the queue.
He said the workers at the centre were seen attempting to improve physical distance between those in the queue but without success as it was too huge at one point.
“We were confused. There were two lines, one is for vaccination and the other for the helpdesk,” SS Yoga told FMT.
To make matters worse, he said there was a quota to resolve the technical issues for today which was mentioned when they announced the opening of the kiosk.
Yoga said the helpdesk staff told him they would only attend to 500 users a day. “They didn’t announce this before, how should we know? Those who didn’t make it today were told to come again tomorrow,” he added.
MySejahtera sought to clear the quota issue by tweeting: “To avoid overcrowding, only 400 tickets will be issued daily from 9am until they finish.”

MOH to set up physical help facilities to resolve MySejahtera issues
By Tharanya Arumugam, Teh Athira Yusof – February 17, 2022 @ 8:18pm
KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry will set up several physical help desk facilities to resolve issues faced by MySejahtera users including the missing Covid-19 vaccine certificates.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the first physical help desk would be stationed at the PPV World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur from Feb 19, followed by another counter at the PPV Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) Shah Alam on Feb 26.
“We will expand this physical help desk facility to other states in the near future. This is to solve issues that have risen over MySejahtera where some people are facing problems with their vaccine certificates, for instance.
“The virtual help desk on MySejahtera will continue but I have received complaints that there are complainants who have been waiting for a long time for vaccine certificates.
“We hope they can seek help at these physical help desks,” he said during a press conference here.

MySejahtera: Physical helpdesk to start operating this Saturday

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry (MOH) will set up physical helpdesks in selected locations to help resolve technical issues involving the Mysejahtera application, said its minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
He said the first physical helpdesk will begin operating at the vaccination centre in World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur this Saturday and Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam on Feb 26.
“Those who have problems with their vaccination certificates and others can visit the physical helpdesk to solve their problems.
“Our virtual helpdesk continues but I have been receiving complaints that some people have waited so long for their vaccination certificates and other issues but are yet to be resolved,” he told a press conference on Covid-19 here today.
He said the ministry would expand the physical helpdesk facility to other states in the near future and the matter would be announced from time to time.
In the meantime, Khairy said an announcement on the isolation protocol for close contacts will be made next week.
He said this was in line with the protocol practised by health workers under the MOH whereby close contacts with no symptoms are not required to undergo quarantine but only need to do the Covid-19 self-test on certain days.
The minister added that a circular had been issued to public healthcare workers by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah last Tuesday (Feb 15).
“We may use the same protocol when we feel that we can do it for the general public.
“Close contacts are very frequent now because the number of cases is increasing and when this happens, disruptions to the economy, employment management and so on are very significant,” he said.
