Najib Loses A Vital Witness As Traitor Zahid Hamidi Changes His Arab Donor Story After 8-Hour Questioning By MACC

Back in August 2015, then Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi declared that he has met the wealthy Arab family who had donated the US$681 million (RM2.6 billion) that was channelled into then Prime Minister Najib Razak’s personal account. Mr. Najib has consistently claimed that the RM2.6 billion discovered in private bank account was “donations.”

Widely reported by foreign news, Mr. Zahid said the “king and prince”, whom he did not name, had donated the money because of Malaysia’s commitment in fighting terrorism, and being a moderate Muslim country with a plural society. He also claimed that the Arab family was impressed by how Malaysia, with its plural society, still managed to remain moderate without sidelining any other religions.

Zahid, who was then vice-president of UMNO, proudly told all and sundry at a meeting with Kepong UMNO division that the donors were “Arab king and prince”, and that the royal family had decided to make the huge donation due to Najib’s anti-Jewish stance. He also said the donors wanted to keep UMNO and the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition in power.

More importantly, Mr. Zahid, who is now UMNO president, said he saw with his own eyes the cheque made under his boss Najib’s name – “I saw the documents myself – the original documents, not photostated ones, and I also saw the money trail. I obtained the information accurately and did not add or minus the facts. The conspiracy to topple the government would take place if not stopped.”

He even assured the people that the donation was 100% from the Arab family and not from the Retirement Fund Inc. (KWAP) or 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). That was 3 years ago in 2015. Of course, the liar and corrupt Zahid Hamidi has a different story today, after himself was grilled by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over his donor story.

When Zahid emerged from his 8-hour questioning by the anti-corruption commission yesterday, he sang a different tune. In a short press conference, he told reporters about “wakil” (representative)” of the Arab family, not “Arab king and prince”, as he had claimed three years ago. He didn’t brag about the documents or cheque of the so-called donations yesterday.

This means Zahid has been lying about meeting the “Arab king and prince” donors. But it could also mean that he had indeed met the Arab royal family, and somehow lost the documents or cheque as proof. Still, he could easily offer himself as a witness to prove that the RM2.6 billion found in Najib’s private bank account was actually donations. But he didn’t.
.

Regardless whether Zahid has lied or not about meeting the “Arab king and prince”, Najib can forget about depending on his former deputy as potential witness. The newly crowned UMNO president has decided to throw Najib under the bus to save himself instead from being prosecuted by the MACC. Najib should start getting advice from Anwar Ibrahim on tips about prison lifestyle.

Zahid questioned about meeting Saudi royal

PUTRAJAYA: For about eight hours, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was questioned on his 2015 meeting with a Saudi royal family member.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission summoned the former deputy prime minister to assist in the ongoing probe into 1MDB.

He arrived at the MACC headquarters at 9.52am and left at 6.30pm yesterday.

“I just finished giving my statements related to the 1MDB investigation,” Dr Ahmad Zahid told reporters.

“They asked me about my meeting with a representative of the Saudi royal family.

“As I had spoken in 2015 on this meeting, I was required to explain it in detail. That is why it took a while,” he said.

On Aug 22, 2015, Dr Ahmad Zahid said he met the wealthy Arab family member, who donated US$700mil that was channelled into former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s personal account.

The newly-elected Umno president said 1MDB was a perception issue and that he was confident the truth would emerge once investigations had been completed.

When asked on the identity of the Saudi royalty he met, Dr Ahmad Zahid declined, saying: “I will only answer to the MACC.”

His Highness the Fake Sheikh! – We Expose Najib’s Mystery ‘Donor’! EXCLUSIVE

Sarawak Report can exclusively reveal the alleged identity of ‘His Highness’ the ‘royal donor’, which was given to AmBank as the source of several payments, including the US$681 million received into Najib’s account just before the last election.

The name given was ‘His Highness Saud Abdulaziz Majid al-Saud’.

We have ascertained that this identity was first provided to explain an original payment of US$100 million, which was passed into Najib’s AmPrivate Banking account in Kuala Lumpur back in February 2011.

The bank had required details of the sender from the agent who was managing the transfer on behalf of the Prime Minister and a letter was purportedly then sent from the office of this individual to the bank.

Our sources tell us that this letter, which has been retained by the bank, was sparse on details but alleged to be from the ‘Private Office of Saud Abdulaziz Majid al-Saud’, without giving an address or telephone number.

The letter was signed by ‘Saud Abdulaziz al-Saud’.
.

In particular, Sarawak Report has established that anti-money laundering and anti-terror legislation in Saudi Arabia (given the Saud name) means that all its citizens are required to provide passport verification for any individual involved in the transfer of substantial sums. This includes any citizen who is using a BVI off-shore company.

A letter without a contact address and no accompanying identification documents represents a laughable verification check and one can only assume it was let through by the bank because the recipient was the Malaysian Prime Minister, who nevertheless comes under a high category of concern as a politically exposed person.
.

Fake Sheikh?

Meanwhile, our enquiries into the identity of this ‘Saudi Royal’ figure have drawn an interesting blank. Saud Abdulaziz Majid al-Saud appears to be a variation on a common royal name, but does not actually refer to any specific individual.

Yet the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi claimed to have met a Middle Eastern “King and Prince” from the alleged “donor family”, shortly after taking over from Muhyiddin Yassin, who had questioned the donation before being sacked  by Najib:

He [Zahid] said the “king and prince”, whom he did not name, had donated the money because of Malaysia’s commitment in fighting terrorism, and being a moderate Muslim country with a plural society….

“Those were the answers given to me when I asked them the reason for their donation. They also told me that Malaysia was not the only country they have donated money to.

“They have also helped other Islamic countries,” he said .. The Umno vice-president, elaborating.. said the donors were an “Arab king and prince” and the family decided to make the huge donation also because of Datuk Seri Najib’s anti-Jewish stance..

“Because of that, the Arab king, Arab prince generously made the political donation for use during the 13th General Election,” Malaysian Mail Online quoted him as saying.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid also said the donor wanted to keep Umno and the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition in power. [Straits Times]

Zahid: I have met donor

BATU PAHAT: Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he had met the wealthy Arab family who had donated the US$700mil that was channelled into party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s personal account.

He said the family, who he did not named, had donated the money because of Malaysia’s commitment in fighting terrorism, and being a moderate Muslim country with a plural society.

The family, he said, was impressed by how Malaysia, with its plural society, still managed to remain moderate without sidelining any other religions.

“Those were the answers given to me when I asked them the reason for their donation. They also told me that Malaysia was not the only country they have donated money to.

“They have also helped other Islamic countries,” he said when opening the Sri Gading Umno division meeting yesterday.

He said he had also met with the investment officer of the wealthy Arab family, who explained how the first US$100mil was given via a cheque under Najib’s name and the rest through other channels.

“I saw the documents myself – the original documents, not photostated ones, and I also saw the money trail,” he added.

He assured the people that the donation was 100% from the Arab family and not from the Retirement Fund Inc or 1Malaysia Development Berhad.

He urged Umno leaders to meet the people to explain the real situation regarding the donation so that they would not be influenced by the lies spread by the opposition through the social media.
