Kulim Youth Bashed Up By Five Men For ‘Staring’ At One Of Them

ALOR STAR: A 21-year-old man required 13 stitches to his head and forehead after a group of five men assaulted him using plastic chairs and tables at a food court in Kulim early on Thursday.
The youth was having drinks with friends when the group attacked him, ostensibly because he had been staring at one of them in the 12.30am incident.
Kedah Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the youth lodged a police report at 4pm the same day.
“The complainant sought treatment at Kulim Hospital and required 13 stitches to cover cuts on his head and forehead. He also lost RM50 cash, his MyKad, driving licence and three automated teller machine cards during the incident,” he said in a statement.
Mior said police have identified two of the five men, all in their 20s, and urged them to turn themselves in to the police.
