Video of woman fleeing with RM10k bracelet from Bangi jewelry shop goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a woman trying on a bracelet before running out of a jewelry store in Bandar Baru Bangi yesterday is fast gaining popularity on social media.

In the one-minute video, the woman, clad in light-coloured trousers, black shirt and black scarf, was believed to have entered the shop about 1pm under the pretext of being a customer.

The woman in her 20s was seen observing the jewelry in the shop before pointing towards a bracelet placed in one of the display cases.

A 28-year-old shopkeeper attended to the woman and let her try on a bracelet.

As the shopkeeper appeared to be calculating the price of the bracelet, the woman was seen glancing at the entrance door before fleeing with the jewelry, leaving the stunned shopkeeper rooted to the spot.
