KOTA KINABALU, March 7 — The police are trying to locate a Sabahan who purportedly fought off two men who allegedly tried to rape her, landing them in a coma.
Sabah crime investigation department chief Datuk Salehhudin Abdul Rahman said that police were looking for a woman named Alice Lien Hua after her Facebook account denied the authorities’ claim that the incident was a hoax.
“We have opened investigation papers into this case under the Communications and Multimedia Act,” he said at a press conference here today.
He said police were hoping that the person involved would come forward and assist them in their investigations.

Following the police statement, a Facebook account that was linked to the name Alice Lien Hua, said she was disappointed by the “Malaysian government” who considered the case a hoax, when she nearly died at the hands of her perpetrators.
She also said in another post that she did not report the matter to the police, fearing court action and a “death sentence”.
“I do not blame any policemen, but please do not assume this incident did not happen. You will understand if it happened to you or your own child. I am also disappointed in some media bloggers who twisted the story (yes, I’ve read them all), and some have said that I ran them over with my car…,” she wrote in Bahasa Malaysia.
Her latest post was accompanied with a “travelling to United Kingdom” status checked-in at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
In an earlier post yesterday, she said she would leave the country if action was forced on her.

PETALING JAYA: Alice Lim Lien Hua, who had claimed to have landed two men who tried to rape her in a coma, has purportedly left the country for United Kingdom today.
Alice, said to be a martial arts expert who had represented Sabah, said she was disappointed by local authorities who chose to pass the buck and regarded the case as a hoax.
She admitted she might be on the wrong for not reporting to the police immediately after the incident, but stressed that she was merely waiting for her lawyers to ask her to do so.
“I almost got killed fighting the two immigrants who tried to rob and rape me, and instead the authorities regarded my case as a fake and they do not want to take responsibility.
“I don’t blame the police, but please don’t assume that the incident did not happen. If it had happened to you or your family members, only then you will know,” she posted on her “Alice Lien Hua” Facebook page today.
The post was accompanied by a “travelling to UK” status checked-in at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
Alice said she was also peeved that certain bloggers had twisted her story, accusing her of running down the two individuals who tried to attack her, with her car.
The story of the woman bravely fighting off two men in Penampang went viral recently, but had since been claimed to be a fake by the police.
Penampang police chief Deputy Supt Rosley Hobden said the news that went viral was false, while Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP M. Chandra said no such report had been lodged on the incident.
Alice had, in an earlier post today, explained that she did not lodge a report as she was afraid to be brought to court and sentenced to prison.
“If forced to, I will even leave the country. It is time to move,” she said.

Police trying to trace ‘karate girl’ who says she fought off attempted rape
KOTA KINABALU: Police are trying to trace a Facebook user who claimed that she had fought off two men who tried to rape her, resulting in them ending up in a coma.
Sabah CID chief Datuk Salehuddin Abdul Rahman said police had opened an investigation paper into the claims.
“We are investigating this matter under the Communications and Multimedia Act and other relevant laws,” he said on Tuesday.
He said police are also asking the woman, who identified herself as Alice Lien Hua, to step forward and assist them in their investigations.
In her Facebook post, the woman who was said to be a karate exponent and former state athlete, claimed that the incident had taken place in Penampang and that she had beaten up the two culprits.
She added in another Facebook post on Monday that she had not gone to the police because she was afraid of being taken to court and sentenced to death.
“Alice” also said that if forced, she would leave the country.

Posting on ‘brave’ karate champ goes viral, but incident is fake

Penampang police chief Deputy Supt Rosley Hobden said the “news” that went viral a few days ago is false.
It was reported as a true story by several blogs and online news portals.
“We did not receive any report of such an incident,” he said when contacted Monday.
He said police had investigated the claims in the posting, stating the alleged victim, one Alice Lien Hua, 20, who is also a Sabah karate champion, had beaten up the two culprits, resulting them ending up in a coma.
“Those found spreading false information can be charged under the Communications and Multimedia Act for using the Internet or telephone to spread false news or information,” he said.

Kota Kinabalu ; Kejadian yang berlaku jam 11.40pm pada malam 4.march.2017 semalam,Seorang mangsa yang dikenali sebagai Alice Lien Hua(20) tekad berani mati menyerang 2(lelaki) individu yang bersenjatakan pisau dipercayai hendak meragut dan merogolnya.
Selepas kejadian itu berlaku,mangsa terus menghubungi seorang rakannya yang bertugas sebagai Criminal investigation department dikawasan Inanam sambil menceritakan kepada kami.
Sebelum kejadian itu mangsa mengatakan dia yang hendak pulang ke rumahnya memandu seorang diri dari rumah saudaranya di penampang, setiba sampai di jalan putatan berdekatan sungai petagas mangsa(alice) memberhentikan kenderaannya di tepi jalan itu kerana merasakan dia diekori 2 individu yang menunggang sebuah motor semasa dari bandar putatan.
Setelah dia berhenti sebentar (di tempat kejadian) untuk bertujuan memberi laluan kepada 2 individu yang seolah-olah mengekorinya dari belakaang sebelum meneruskan perjalanan, namun ternyata 2individu itu turut berhenti di hadapan kenderaanya dan terus menyuruh membuka cermin kereta.
Semasa Alice(mangsa) menceritakan pada kami pada masa itu,dia langsung tidak merasah takut bila 2 orang itu memaksa saya membuka cermin,malahan dia terus keluar dari kenderaanya untuk bertanya apa mereka mahu,lalu seorang individu yang mempunya pisau di sebelah tangannya meminta duit namun alice berkata ‘tiada’ dan lelaki itu terus menarik tangan mangsa(alice) seolah-olah dia dibawah kearah semak gelap,lalu seorang lagi individu itu terus meluluh masuk kedalam kenderaan mangsa(Alice) untuk mengambil beg nya.
Dari itu terjadinya pergelutan sehingga 2 individu itu koma di tempat kejadian,sejurus selepas kejadian ada beberapa orang awam dan kenderaan berhenti, mangsa mengatakan tiada mengalami apa-apa kecedraan cuma terekena 1 tumbukan yang tidak seberapa kuat di bahagian atas keningnya.
Ada seorang mengatakan 2 individu itu adalah penagih dadah di kawasan petagas kota kinabalu.
Setelah 3 anggota c.i.d sampai ke tempat kejadian itu mereka mengesahkan identiti saspek itu adalah pendatang asing dan tidak mempunyayi dokumen identiti yang sah.
2 saspek yang masih dalam keadaan koma pada waktu itu dibawah ke KPJ luyang dalam tahanan penyiasatan manakala mangsa(alice) dibawa ke pejabat polis kota kinabalu bagi membuat laporan penuh.

While Alice (prey) told us at that time, he’s not at all scared when merasah 2 men that forced me to open the mirror, instead he kept out of kenderaanya to ask what they want, and then an individual who had a knife in his hand next to ask Money But Alice said ‘NO’ and the man kept pulling the hand prey (Alice) as though he was under bush way dark, then a more individuals that continue to bring into vehicle prey (Alice) to take his bag.

Kota Kinabalu: Polis menafikan berlakunya kejadian atlet karate wanita membelasah dua lelaki yang cuba menyamun dan merogolnya sehingga koma di daerah ini, Sabtu lalu.
Ketua Polis Daerah Kota Kinabalu Asisten Komisioner M Chandra berkata, tiada sebarang laporan dibuat sama ada di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kota Kinabalu, IPD Penampang dan mana-mana balai polis.
“Orang ramai dinasihatkan mendapatkan pengesahan sesuatu berita itu sama ada benar atau palsu. Bukannya menyebarkan sesuatu berita sebelum disahkan pihak berwajib,” katanya di sini, hari ini.
Berita kononnya atlet wanita Sabah itu membelasah dua lelaki sehingga koma menjadi tular sejak semalam.
Dikatakan atlet berusia 20 tahun itu sedang memandu seorang diri pada jam 11.40 malam dan dua pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) mengekorinya sebelum menahan kereta mangsa.
Penjenayah itu dikatakan memaksa mangsa menyerahkan wang sambil mengeluarkan sebilah pisau dan cuba merogolnya namun dibelasah hingga koma.
