WHY SHOULD YOU AVOID A HOMESTAY BUT BOOK WITH THE HOTEL DIRECTLY?
Here is a recent example of what can happen to you when you book at a homestay without realising it!
I quote a little bird that flew by and whispered the tale to me:
“Two ladies from Unit **** came down and asked why there was no hot water in the bathrooms of their unit. They were holding the Haven card (owner’s card). We told them that they were homestay and had no link with us, the Hotel.
She said that she had booked the unit from TripAdvisor and paid for 8 nights. When explained the difference between hotel and homestay, she was very upset, said she did not know about it and thought she was a hotel guest.
When told that many facilities were unavailable to homestays, she booked a unit with us and would call TripAdvisor to cancel her booking with them.

If you are at The Haven Ipoh as homestay guests, you can use none of the following:
Facilities :
– Swimming Pool
– Private Indoor Jacuzzi
– Jogging Track
– Fitness center
– Badminton court with rackets and shuttle cocks
You may believe otherwise but you would not be a guest of the Hotel and these facilities are available only to guests.
