FOUND

21st July 2015, 1.40pm Update:
There has been a positive identification of Jennifer at Sepang. Family members are rushing there at this instant to confirm the report and to bring her to somewhere safe. Thank you very much for all of your support.

21st July 2015 (D6- Jennifer has been found)
Dear all,

Jennifer had been found in one of the the inn in Sepang where she had stayed for the past 6 days. She is safe although not necessarily of a sound mind after being away from medication for a week. We had managed to counsel and convince her to seek medical treatment for the time being. Hence, she is brought to a nearby medical center where she could find a place for solace and comfort. Treating schizophrenia is no easy feat and the journey would be a long one, a challenge perhaps only guardians and caretaker would be aware of, but we would continue to provide support and rehabilitation as time goes by.

Thank you everyone for your support and concern, and we will forever be thankful for all who had helped out in the search. Special thanks to the public esp netizens in spreading the news to aid us in the search, as it is truly an effort which transcends political and religious beliefs as well as racial barrier. We were truly touched by the kindness that you guys had shared with us.

I apologize if I’d ever offended anyone during the process of finding her.

In Malaysians we believe in.

Yours sincerely,
Wong YM
Jenn’s Bro-in-law

Jennifer Boey Ching Chean, 30, was last seen wearing a grey-coloured maxi dress and pink sandals while carrying a red bag.

20th July 2015, 11 am update: Confirmation with Yoyo bus revealed that Jennifer travelled to KLIA1 on 15th July 2015, 11.30am under the name of “Jennifer Boey”. Since she did not bring her passport, it is unlikely for her to be travelling out of the country. We will be checking and paying attention to domestic flights as well. Otherwise she might still be area around KLIA or Klang Valley region. Wong YM, Jenn’s Bro in law

19th July 2015 Update: Our family is touched and grateful for the overwhelming response that we have received by the public. However, we have yet to find her. It is unlikely that she’s in Ipoh now as inquiries have shown that she has left little to no trace here in the past few days. Our family’s intuition points that she’s in the Klang Valley region, so it would be greatly appreciated if residents there can keep a watchful eye on the streets. We have not ruled out other places so I would kindly request that everyone be extra vigilant in their respective areas as well. Thank you very much. By Boey Yik Ming, Jenn’s brother. —

18th July 2015 Update: Dear all, thank you for your concerns and help in spreading the message across. As of today, she has yet to be found. Unconfirmed reports from the police claimed that she might have been sighted near Pangkor Island, given that the description of the person seen was vague but somewhat almost matching. She may be of somewhat sane mind currently, but she has not been on her medication for 4 days for her partially relapsed condition.

The police have tried reaching out to possible accomodations in Pangkor Island as well while searching for her. Special thanks to the police force as well as the Rakan Cop for the help as well. Update 19th July,11am: The lady sighted in Pangkor was not her as further investigations revealed that it happened a week prior to her disappearance, hence it is likely a false alarm.
