Three hacked bodies found in Christian cemetery

KUALA LUMPUR: Three bodies were found hacked to death in a Christian cemetery at Jalan Kuari in Cheras here.

City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said the cemetery’s caretaker alerted authorities of the grisly find at around 1pm, Sunday.

“Initial investigations revealed that the fully clothed bodies, covered in slash wounds, were found sprawled on the ground.

“The bodies of the men were positioned some 30m away from each other,” he added.

SAC Zainuddin said no identification documents were found on them.

“We believe that they were Myanmar nationals, but we are still at the initial phase of investigations,” he said.

According to SAC Zainuddin, statements recorded from a witness revealed that a group comprising seven to eight men had gathered at the area to drink alcohol at about 9pm, Saturday.

“We believe that the men were fighting among themselves under the influence of alcohol.

“There were beer cans scattered at the scene. We also found candles which may have been used to light up the area.

“The group may have been from a nearby Myanmar settlement located about 1km from the cemetery,” he said.

MYANMARESE WOMAN ESCAPES MURDER ATTEMPT BY MYANMARESE MAN!

It is a strange story, indeed. It seems that the woman, a cake seller, was shot at for carrying out her business too close to the house of her assailant in Batu Caves. The woman and the man are neighbours. Both are holders of the United Nation’s High Commissioner for Refugees identity cards.

The man, gun in hand arrived in a Proton Perdana near the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market in Jinjang, and  chased after the woman (who is married to another Myanmarese). She ran off,  and he destroyed her stall, before he went back inside the car and chased after the victim.

He then fired two shots, but missed as the victim was hiding behind a pillar in front one of the shophouses.

“We believe the man was angry at the victim for running her business near his house as it was obstructing traffic. We are tracking him down,” Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said.

Cake seller escapes knife-wielding attacker, then evades bullets

KUALA LUMPUR: A 27-year-old Myanmarese trader had a near brush with death after she was attacked by a man at Pusat Bandar Utara Selayang, Batu Caves, here.

City CID Chief Senior Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said the trader was selling cakes at a pavement in front of a convenience store when a white Proton Perdana stopped alongside the road at around 6.30pm Sunday.

“A Myanmarese man, known only as Nur Muhamad, alighted from the car with a parang.

“He then thrashed the items at her stall with the weapon,” he added.

SAC Zainuddin said the woman, fearing for her life, ran to another shop across the road.

“The suspect pursued her in his car, prompting her to hide behind the wall column of another shop.

“He fired two shots in her direction, but missed her,” he explained.
