Police detained a 31-year-old man on Wednesday, the same day Min You’s parents were produced at the Magistrate’s Court here and remanded for three days.

Police denied missing child found
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah police denied rumours that the missing three-year-old Low Min You has been found safe and alive at an apartment in Bukit Padang, near here.
Sabah police commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib told New Straits Times that police had not received such reports, adding the boy remained missing.
On whether the kidnapping of Min You was staged, Hamza said police had picked up another man, aged 31, to facilitate investigation.
The man was nabbed on Wednesday, the same day the boy’s parents Low Yee Sheng, 31, and his wife Yong Siew Yee, 26, were detained when they turned up at the City police headquarters.
“Tell me where the boy is hiding? Which condominium? So far I have not received reports about his finding and we hope the boy is safe,” he said, adding the man was Low’s drinking partner.

Parents of missing boy held
Under remand: Min You’s father Low Yee Sheng and mother Yong Siew Yee being led away at the Karamunsing police station in Kota Kinabalu.
KOTA KINABALU: The case of the missing three-year-old Low Min You has taken a twist with the arrest of his parents.
Low Yee Sheng, 31, and his wife Yong Siew Yee, 26, were detained when they turned up at the Kota Kinabalu district police station in Karamunsing on Wednesday evening.
Low, a closed-circuit television camera installer, and Yong had earlier been asked to go to the police station.
They were produced yesterday morning before Senior Assistant Registrar Danny Buaya at a magistrate’s court here, where the investigating officer Insp Shreethran Balan applied to remand the couple for seven days.
Counsel Ram Singh, however, objected, saying that Low and Yong still had another child to look after at home.
Buaya subsequently fixed the remand for three days until Saturday.
It is believed that the parents were arrested following contradicting statements that they had given to the police.
The arrest of Min You’s parents came a day after Kota Kinabalu police chief Assist Comm Jauteh Dikun said he was puzzled over the lack of information about the boy’s whereabouts.
警方发言人说,除了刘明佑父母亲被延扣,警方也正调查一则指小佑佑被人发现在根地咬的图片短讯,以确认其真伪。

‘All I want is my missing son’
KOTA KINABALU: A 26-year-old mother is pining for her three-year-old son who went missing after her husband’s car was stolen nearly 48 hours ago.
As Low Meng Yew’s disappearance continues to boggle police, a distraught Yong Siau Yee is hoping that her son would be immediately released unharmed by his captors.
“She is very shaken,” said a family friend, who declined to be named.
“I appeal to whoever is holding him to please, please let the innocent boy go. I believe that it will be the best Mothers Day gift for her.”
In a Facebook posting by Michelle Lim, a family member, there was an offer of a RM20,000 reward for the safe return of Meng Yew.
He was wearing a green shirt and a pair of blue pants the morning he went missing.
In her posting, Lim said: “Little Mingyou, you’ve been missing for so many hours. We miss you so badly. I wonder if you’re hungry, naughty, crying? You keep appearing in my mind, just can’t stop thinking of you.
“Dear God, can you hear everyone praying? Please send him back to us, our hearts are breaking. I miss your hugs, your kisses, your laugh, your manja.”
