A Peaceful Witness To Life
On October 10, 2008, the Victorian Parliament passed the Abortion Law Reform Act, one of the most extreme abortion laws in the world. This law eliminated all legal protection for Victorian children until the moment of birth.
In remembrance of this shameful day, we gather to march for the babies who never see the light of day in Victoria. The babies of every one in three pregnancies. The more than 20,000 babies killed in Victoria every year.
Together we express our profound disapproval with our Government’s failure to:
- Protect the fundamental right to life of every person in our state.
- Offer real help to women in crisis pregnancies, and others who have suffered through abortion.
- Allow freedom of conscience for our health care professionals.
Our goal is to overturn this terrible law and provide full legal protection to our most vulnerable Victorians.
Please join us, as we march in this peaceful witness to life, from Treasury Gardens to Parliament House, and hear inspirational speakers and music with a message of courage and hope.
There’s a long road ahead, but we shall overcome!

Right now in Australia the March for Life is going on and the pro-lifers are being attacked by thousands of pro-aborts. Near riot situation we are being attacked as we march. Prayers please. Very bad. I’ve been hit many times already. They are surrounding us. Police won’t arrest them. I am in front protecting our people. This is the craziest thing ever. Over a thousand. This is scary.
“Got bad again. They (pro-aborts) took over our stage. Ripped down banners,” Kemper said.

Australian March for Babies turns violent: U.S. pro-life activists, MPs assaulted by pro-abort mob
Bryan Kemper sits on the ground praying while waiting for the police to clear a path for the pro-life march get past the mob of pro-abortion counter-protesters. According to Kemper, the police took no steps to help the pro-life activists, or protect them from violent pro-aborts.
MELBOURNE, Australia, Oct. 12 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – American pro-life activist Bryan Kemper says he is bruised and sore, but recovering, after a mob of pro-abortion counter-protesters attacked him and his team of pro-life activists during the March for the Babies in Melbourne, Australia.
Kemper, the founder of Prolife Stand True Ministries, a ministry of Priests for Life, told LifeSiteNews.com today that he was thrown to the ground and repeatedly kicked. Several other members of his team were also roughed up.
Pro-life Victoria Member of Parliament Bernie Finn also told the press that he was “belted in the head” and pelted with eggs, and that fellow pro-life MP Andrew Elsbury was thrown to the ground and stomped on.
“What we saw today was literally a public mugging on the streets of Melbourne and Victoria Police let it happen,” Finn fumed. “We had people being assaulted, being kicked, being stomped on and they sat back and watched.”

Saturday 13th October 2012, Youth for Life Australia joined March for the Babies in Melbourne, Victoria Australia. Before joining the march, the youth held a ‘Memorial for the Unborn’ at the foot of Parliament steps.
