Man who died after stuck between two window panes buried today
POH: The remains of Sherol Aizam Mohd Damanhuri, who allegedly died after getting stuck in the window panes of a neighbour’s house he had broken into, was finally buried almost two months after the incident.
The 27-year-old was laid to rest at the Gurap Muslim Cemetery on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman here at noon on Wednesday.
His father, Mohd Damanhuri Mohd Fuad said he had come to the decision to bury his son after consulting his lawyer and personal doctor.
“But this does not mean that I’ve given up on seeking the truth surrounding my son’s death,” said the 50-year-old restaurant owner.

Businessman: I will not bury my son until justice is served
IPOH: The family of a man who was trapped between some window panes and died of suffocation during an alleged house break-in attempt here in July wants an inquest into his death as they believed he was beaten up.
This follows the High Court’s decision to dismiss the application by the man’s father, Mohd Damanhuri Mohd Fuad, 50, for a second post-mortem on his son Sherol Aizam.
Mohd Damanhuri said he was not happy that there were no answers to the bruises allegedy found on his son’s body.

Mohd Damanhuri, a businessman, told The Star he will not bury his son “until justice is served”.
His lawyer Mohd Fitri Asmuni told reporters thay they would file for an appeal or request for an inquest.

His father, Mohd Damanhuri Mohd Fuad, 50, was reported as saying that he would not claim his son’s body until a second post-mortem was conducted.

IPOH – A Burglar who got stuck in a window while trying to break into a house died after suffering from breathing difficulties.
Sherol Aizam Rashid, 27, was found by the houseowner, a construction worker named Chen, when he returned home in Taman Saz, Silibin near here just after midnight.
Chen said he was shocked when he saw a man, clad in boxer shorts, stuck in between the kitchen windowpanes and shouting for help.
Chen said he alerted police.
Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong said police were informed of the incident at 12.15am and a patrol car from the Jelapang police station arrived five minutes later.
The policemen found the suspect’s chest stuck between the iron bars with his head and hands inside the house.
“By that time, the suspect had turned blue,” he said, adding that police used a cutter to cut the metal bars to release the suspect.
Sherol’s shirt, trousers and shoes were found on the kitchen sink inside the house.

Earlier, at the mortuary, emotions ran high as the deceased’s relatives were not satisfied with the post-mortem findings.
The deceased father, Rashid Fuad, 50, said the pathologist had failed to explain the bruises on his son’s body.
Rashid said he would seek a second post-mortem to be conducted on Sherol’s body.

Burglar dies after trapping himself
The burglar was stuck in the window which has since been boarded up with a piece of yellow wood.
IPOH: A 27-year-old man who tried to break into a house in Silibin here was found dead trapped between some window panels, and clad only in his underwear.
However, his family members claimed that he was beaten to death as there were bruises on his body.

ACP Sum said the family had the right to demand for another post-mortem, adding that police were checking if the man had any criminal record.
