1. A court sentenced a man to 1 month in jail after his Belgian Shepherd attacked a woman when he let the dog loose in front of a house in Sentul on April 16.

The woman suffered serious injuries.

3. Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Amalina Johar urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence.

The charge, under Section 289 of the Penal Code, provides for imprisonment for up to 6 months, a maximum fine of RM2,000 or both upon conviction.
