A distortion of a New York Times article is circulating. It begins with “Report by The New York Times on Feb 21, 2021.”

..

Factual corrections:

1. The article is not entitled, “It’s Time to Believe in the Chinese and Russian Vaccines”. The correct title is “It’s Time to Trust China’s and Russia’s Vaccines”.

Opinion | It’s Time to Trust China’s and Russia’s Vaccines …www.nytimes.com › opinion· Terjemahkan halaman ini 5 Feb 2021 — Yet a solution to both problems may be hiding in plain sight: vaccines from China and Russia, and soon, perhaps, India. Chinese and Russian …

2. The date is 5 February 2021.

3. Whoever wrote this misinformation/distortion is cunning. He knows that few will read the article because you must have a subscription to read it.

However, you can read the article elsewhere:

4. The propaganda you received is propaganda. It’s not based on the New York Times article.

(a) The New York Times article does not have a safety ranking at all. The one you see in the propaganda was invented by the propagandist.

(b) It is not true that hundreds of millions of people have been vaccinated with China vaccines. Perhaps ten million have been vaccinated?

(c) The claim that “As reported by Western media, many wealthy people in Britain fly to the UAE to vaccinate Chinese national medicine” is unsubstantiated.

It is true that a small extremely rich westerners are offered a Chinese vaccine in the UAE but that is an offer that has not been taken up yet.

“China’s Sinopharm vaccine is being offered to a handful of wealthy people paying for access to the United Arab Emirates’ Covid-19 vaccination programme as part of a partnership to “bring tourism into the area”, according to an exclusive London club that claims to be brokering the service.

The vaccine is in wide usage in the UAE but is yet to receive emergency approval from the UK government or the World Health Organization. The Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, also approved in the Emirates, is not included in the pay-to-access deal.”

(A) This is one version, a shorter one:

Report by The New York Times on Feb 5, 2021.
In the safety ranking, the top four are all Chinese vaccines:

  1. Sinopharm (China)
  2. Sinopharm (China)
  3. Kexing (China)
  4. Can Sino (China)
  5. AstraZeneca (UK)
  6. Pfizer (United States and Germany)
  7. Modena (United States)
  8. Johnson & Johnson (United States)
  9. Novavax (United States)
  10. Satellite 5 (Russia)
Sinopharm has two vaccines, ranking first and second respectively.
China has exported more than 500 million doses of vaccines to more than 50 countries around the world, and it is estimated that hundreds of millions of people have been vaccinated. And China’s vaccine accident rate is lower and safer.
As reported by Western media, many wealthy people in Britain fly to the UAE to vaccinate Chinese national medicine.

(B) This is the longer version:

Reprinted on 2021.3.2:

To provide you with some reference materials: ① The New York Times, which often publishes anti-China remarks, actually published an article about two weeks ago: “It’s Time to Believe in the Chinese and Russian Vaccines”; In the safety ranking, the top four are all Chinese vaccines:

  1. Sinopharm (China)
  2. Sinopharm (China)
  3. Kexing (China)
  4. Can Sino (China)
  5. AstraZeneca (UK)
  6. Pfizer (United States and Germany)
  7. Modena (United States)
  8. Johnson & Johnson (United States)
  9. Novavax (United States)
  10. Satellite 5 (Russia)
Sinopharm has two vaccines, ranking first and second respectively.
Tens of millions of people around the world have been vaccinated with Pfizer, but only 20 or 30 people and dozens of people have died of facial paralysis. The accident rate is actually very low, which is considered safe. China has exported more than 500 million doses of vaccines to more than 50 countries around the world, and it is estimated that hundreds of millions of people have been vaccinated. Only Hong Kong has reported a death case suspected to be related to vaccination, and the deceased had diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia and For cardiovascular disease, the Hong Kong government consultant Xu Shuchang and respiratory specialist Liang Zichao both said that the cause of death may not be directly related to the vaccination of Kexing vaccine, but it needs to be investigated and announced. Therefore, China’s vaccine accident rate is lower and safer.
Everyone can decide whether to vaccinate or choose which one according to their own circumstances. As reported by Western media, many wealthy people in Britain fly to the UAE to vaccinate Chinese national medicine.
