Umno Youth man files police report over March 2016 threat

KUALA LUMPUR: An Umno Youth member today lodged a police report over a warning he had received more than a year ago, about how some associates of Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin were allegedly after him.
After lodging a police report at Ampang Jaya district police headquarters today, Syed Rosli Jamalullail told reporters that he is concerned over his and his family members’ safety.
In his report, Syed Rosli alleged that an Umno member named Saiful Ismail Saaya had called him on March 7, 2016, to alert him to the threat he faced from “Khairy’s men” over his (Syed Rosli) intention to file a report with the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) against Khairy.
“Saiful had informed me that my life was in danger as well as my family’s, too,” Syed Rosli had written in his police report.
“Of late, I feel that I am being watched and so are my family members.
“I have lodged this report today, so the authorities can investigate in case something happens to me or any of my family members,” he said, admitting that he had not had the feeling of being followed in the previous 13 months since getting that fateful phone call.

Meanwhile, Khairy called Syed Rosli “crazy” for filing the police report today with such wild allegations. He added that the latter had a personal agenda in doing so.

PETALING JAYA, May 23 ― Khairy Jamaluddin has labelled an Umno man as “crazy” for alleging that youth and sports minister wanted him killed.
Khairy said the claim made by Taman Chempaka Umno information chief Syed Rosli Syed Harman Jamalullail was preposterous and had a personal agenda.
“This guy is crazy. He has a history of fabricating things, lying and calling me all sorts of things.
“Only last night he was calling me Bangla on Twitter. This guy is something wrong,” he told reporters when met after an event today.
