Kit Siang denounces fake cabinet list, flattered to be named PM
Lim Kit Siang has denounced a cabinet line-up being circulated on social media, which names him as prime minister and Dr Mahathir Mohamad as his deputy if the opposition seizes federal power.
The DAP veteran described this as a “Nazi-styled” propaganda offensive ahead of the next general election.
However, Lim said he was not surprised to see the list titled “Barisan Kerajaan Baru 2017 – Pakatan Harapan DAP/PKR/PAN/PPBM”.
“For the first time in the nation’s 60-year history, I am listed as prime minister and finance minister in the fake cabinet list, with Dr Mahathir as deputy prime minister.
“Never in my 51 years in politics have I thought of being PM though I was quite flattered to see my name on the list,” he told a press conference in Penang.

Lim said DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng never asked for a Chinese to be prime minister during the party convention over the weekend.

Kit Siang: Pakatan Cabinet list is fake, hate agenda against DAP
GEORGE TOWN, Dec 6 ― A purported list of Pakatan Harapan’s Cabinet line-up circulating on the Internet is fake and is aimed to incite hate against the DAP, its parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang said today.
He also denied that he and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad were gunning for the top government positions as stated in the list titled “Barisan Kerajaan Baru 2017 ― Pakatan Harapan DAP/PKR/PAN/PPBM”.

The list contained 22 names and respective portfolios for Opposition leaders such as Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Lim Guan Eng, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Nga Kor Ming, Mahfuz Omar, Tony Pua, Gobind Singh Deo, Anthony Loke, Tian Chua, Khalid Samad and Rafizi Ramli.
The Gelang Patah MP suspected Umno cybertroopers to be behind the fictitious Cabinet line-up and claimed it was being used to spread “hate propaganda against the DAP”.
