62 people tested positive for drugs at rave in Ipoh

IPOH: Sixty-two people including 13 women and a polytechnic student tested positive for drugs after they were arrested by the police during a “rave” organised at the 7th floor of a hotel in Medan Ipoh, on Saturday night.

They were among 225 individuals comprising 123 men and 43 women aged between 18 to 35 who were detained during the operation conducted by the police from the state narcotics department.

Perak police chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan said the team raided the premises following a public tip-off.

“A man was also arrested after he was believed to have owned ecstasy drugs while cops discovered eight drug pills and 33.5g of ganja on the floor of the premise,” he said in a statement, today.

Initial investigations, Hasnan said revealed that organisers had promoted the party through WhatsApp, WeChat, and Instagram.

“It is learnt that the organisers had already organised similar parties in the past including Ipoh, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur, usually at apartments or bungalows.

“Patrons needed to pay RM58 for early bird booking or RM78 for direct entry into the party,” he added.

Yet another poses atop ‘IPOH’ signage, snaps selfie
.

PETALING JAYA: After a group of youths recently apologised for scaling the “IPOH” signage, another youth has since emerged on social media pulling off the same stunt.

Known as “kerabupauh” on Instagram, the youth has been pictured standing atop the letter “P”, while another shows him snapping pictures of himself with a selfie stick.

Both pictures were taken on top of the Jalan Kuala Kangsar landmark. The four letters are said to be over 100 metres tall, equivalent to the height of a building of about 30 to 40 stories high.

Another picture had also emerged depicting the defiant youth sitting under the Gunung Lang Recreational Park signboard, which is similar to the “IPOH” signage.

“I apologise for merely wearing Japanese slippers,” the caption read in Bahasa Malaysia.

STS : Lovers could not pull apart after sex

Lovers could not pull apart after sex

>Could this be a belated AF’s story?

IPOH – A pair of adulterers had to be rushed naked from a village here
to hospital in an ambulance after sexual intercourse because they
could not ‘pull apart’.

The 50-year-old woman had taken an aphrodisiac similar to Viagra which
caused her to be abnormally excited.

Unfortunately, this not only heightened the couple’s sexual pleasure
but also resulted in her 60-year-old partner being unable to
disengage.

The couple panicked and yelled for help from neighbours who called an
ambulance, Malaysia’s China Press reported yesterday.

Naked and still joined together at their private parts, the red-faced
couple had to be carried up the ambulance like a pair of Siamese
twins, according to scores of amused fellow villagers.

The couple was finally separated at the local hospital after being
given an injection.

But their embarrassment is not over. They are now having to put up
with stares and sniggers from their fellow villagers as news of their
‘adventure’ is spreading like brush fire.

Ipoh mayor not amused with stunt on Ipoh sign, mulls stern action against youths
.

zip

POH: A daring stunt by a group of young thrill seekers sitting on the ledge of the Ipoh sign on Jalan Kuala Kangsar has gone viral, attracting admiration from netizens and adrenaline junkies – but Ipoh City Council is far from amused.
.
Mayor Datuk Zamri Man said the council had never issued any permission to the group, adding that climbing the structure could endanger their lives and road users plying the busy road below.
.
“The structure was not built to hold additional weight, including humans. Should the structure be damaged and fell onto the road and motorists, we would like to stress that it could be the result of the group’s irresponsible act.
.
“The council will carry out an investigation and lodge a police report to ensure that stern action be taken against them.
.

“We will also take action under the vandalism by-laws, which carries a fine and jail penalties,” he said in a statement, attached with screenshots of the act.

Salted chicken shop in Ipoh collapses due to drainage work

IPOH: Part of a salted chicken shop along Jalan Datuk Tahwil Azar here collapsed on Saturday due to drainage work carried out nearby.

One of the supporting pillars of Happy Delicious Salted Chicken gave way due to underground drainage work conducted by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

The shop is located right opposite the famous Lou Wong Chicken Tauge restaurant.

A Fire and Rescue Services Department spokesman said there were no casualties.

An MBI representative, who was at the site of the incident, said the contractor conducting the drainage work was negligent and that the shop’s owners could lodge a police report to claim damages from the council.

An eyewitness said people were running away from the building when it collapsed and contract workers urged everyone to stay away from the area.

“We heard a loud noise and when we came out, everyone was frantic.
