Mamak outlet with ‘roti canai lipas‘ shut down by council

SEREMBAN: A dirty mamak restaurant in Kemayan Square, which went viral after a diner found a cockroach in her roti canai, was ordered to shut down temporarily by the Seremban Municipal Council today.

The state Health Department and MPS, after conducting checks at the outlet, slapped the restaurant with a two-week shutdown order.

The restaurant became the talk of social media yesterday when a hospital staff found a cockroach in her roti canai while dining at the outlet.
.
She related her horrific experience on Facebook, which gained the attention of the authorities. State health director Dr Abdul Rahim Abdullah said his team and MPS officers inspected the 24-hour restaurant at 3pm.

Our checks showed that there are cockroaches in the restaurant. The restaurant has been ordered to close for 14 days to rectify the situation.”
