Dallas protest: Four police officers dead in sniper shooting #Dallas#DallasPoliceShooting

Four police officers are dead and eight injured after what is believed to be two snipers opened fire during a rally in Dallas, Texas, to protest the deaths of two black men at the hands of police, NBC News and multiple other news outlets reported.
A statement by Dallas Police Chief David Brown said, “Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest/rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition. An intensive search for suspects is currently under way. No suspects are in custody at this time.”
In a second statement, Brown said that an eleventh officer was shot during an exchange of gunfire with one of the suspects, adding that the officer was being transported to hospital.
And a subsequent tweet by the Dallas Police Department said that a fourth officer had died. The tweet did not specify whether this officer was one of those previously reported to be injured.
