Aeon Rawang Tgv Cinema’s Storeroom Caught On Fire

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) — A fire broke out in Aeon Rawang TGV cinema’s storeroom, near here this morning.

The fire caused heavy smoke which filled the store and spread to the second floor of the cinema.

Rawang district Fire and Rescue Department (FRDM) operations officer Zaffrool Zahri said FRDM received an emergency call at 9.23 am and upon arrival, the rescue team found thick smoke making it difficult for the firemen to assess the sitution.

“We found two boxes containing several items including plush toys and a burnt fridge.

“Fortunately, the storeroom’s fire alarm system functioned and successfully extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived, “he said when contacted by Bernama today.

“No casualties invovled in the incident and a total of 14 members from Rawang and Batu Arang Fire and Rescue Department was deployed to the scene,” he said, adding that cause and estimated losses were still being investigated.
