The Transport Minister is SAFE from Ops Warta!
Federal traffic police chief Mohd Fuad Abd Latiff said the arrest warrants served to errant motorists in the ongoing Ops Warta were for summonses that were issued by police and not other agencies.
“Our operation is aimed at those who had defaulted on traffic police summonses only and not JPJ or the AES which does not come under our scope,” he said.

MP wants minister Liow nabbed under Ops Warta
With some 836 people arrested to date for not settling their summonses, a minister who has done the same should not be spared, said Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng.
Lim in a press conference today made public the summons record of Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai, which showed he had two outstanding summonses for speeding issued under the automated enforcement system (AES).
Liow’s vehicle also had another summons for having tinted his windows too dark. Two of the summonses were from 2013 while the third was from 2014.
“Why didn’t he pay the fines? Should the people follow the minister as an example?
“The police should immediately bring him to court for the unpaid traffic summons or call off the ongoing Ops Warta,” Lim (photo) declared.
