The problem is that he doesn’t own the house. Neither has he been given the authority to rent it out. In fact, the house is occupied.
And I know the owner. The owner doesn’t know any Haji Su.
ON SUNDAY, 4TH JANUARY 2015, three separate people went to the Canning Garden house to look at it. They met the person occupying the house.
They were surprised, to say the least.
Questions asked were, “Isn’t this the haji’s house? Why are you here? Did he rent it out to you already?”
Another man said, “I was surprised that the haji said he had a house here. This is a Chinese area, so why does he own a house in a Chinese area?” Very smart man but he’s a businessman.
The third was about to bank in a deposit but decided to take a look. Lucky man! He went to the house and had a chat with the man living there.
*I suspect that ‘Haji Su’ is not a haji. Neither is ‘Su’ his real name.
