SINGAPORE – The top Google search term in Singapore in 2014 was MH370, referring to the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight number, according to Google.
The Boeing 777 – carrying 239 people – disappeared on March 8 after inexplicably diverting from its Kuala Lumpur-Beijing course. The aircraft has yet to be found.

The fourth most searched term was another MAS air tragedy – the crash of MH17. The plane went down over eastern Ukraine in July, apparently hit by an air-to-surface missile, killing all 298 passengers on board.
