KUALA LUMPUR: Local rapper-turned-filmmaker Namewee has social media buzzing again with the release of a new video.

This time around, a rather subdued and less controversial spoof on reality singing competitions and songstress Shila Amzah.

In the six minute video titled ‘High Pitched’, Namewee ‘performed’ on stage, belting out lyrics like ‘you love watching singers compete desperately for titles’ and ‘you love it when singers are struggling on stage’ –  where he caustically poked fun at a certain mega popular reality singing contests in China, where Shila was first catapulted to fame an fast becoming a household name.

Clips of Sheila and dramatic reaction shots of audience and judges from the shows were also featured in the video.
