Thug Security (GPIS) of City Square Residence – Threats & Intimidation against Residences
…
Published on Aug 11, 2014
Consolidated video of smartphone footage from a BBQ on Aug 9, 2014. Security provokes guest and residents to fight. Insults guest & residents after we refuse to fight him. Incident finalises with the main [thug] guard yelling anti-foreigner insults (2:15 mark). He’s heard saying he can get a job anywhere so he had no problem attacking us for 1) questioning his demands [asked him for the previous guard to come over] 2) asking for his name 3) recording the incident.
The security staff follows this incident up by hunting down residents a day later. Forced to call police to protect us from our own security guards at 1am! City Square management is letting the security company take the complaint and no action has been taken against the personnel for excessive middle finger usage, unreasonably cursing at us, provoking us to fight, threatening to punch at one point, and harassment past midnight.

‘I KNOW GIRLS LIKE YOU’ – overzealous guard to resident who forgot condo card
Police were called to City Square Residences on at least three occasions last weekend, after disputes broke out between the condominium’s security guards, residents and visitors.
Two of the three incidents involved violence, with an ambulance having to be called in and two visitors to the condo in Kitchener Link arrested on Sunday.
The first incident happened on National Day, when Ms Foo Sharlane, a resident, was not allowed to enter the building as she had forgotten her access pass.
…

Ms Foo, 25, tried showing her identification card, which had her City Square Residences address. But the security officer still refused to let her through, she told The Straits Times.
…
“When the supervisor came and saw me, he said ‘I know girls like you and I know what you are doing inside the building. I have caught you sneaking into the building and I have told you to stay away’,” recalled Ms Foo, a Singaporean, who moved into the estate with her fiance last December.
..
When Mr Max Sebastian Lee saw he had 12 missed calls and 20 text messages, he rushed downstairs with Ms Foo’s access pass.
..
The senior consultant in a shipping firm said he and Ms Foo tried to walk back to their block when the supervisor, identified by the couple as Mr Hazzin Omar, hit his head from behind with a walkie talkie.
Another guard pulled him from behind, and two more grabbed his arms, as he fell to the ground.
Said Ms Foo: “The supervisor was shouting “Pin him down! Pin him down!”
Police were alerted to the incident at about 3.20pm and confirmed that a case of voluntarily causing hurt had been reported.

Residents and two security guards at a condominium were involved in a heated argument over a barbeque pit last Saturday (Aug 9).
Stomper Chong had sent in a video of the incident, which was consolidated from footage recorded by the residents on their smartphones.
The dispute apparently started at 10pm that night, when around 10 to 12 residents and guests were having a barbeque at City Square Residencies.
According to the Stomper, two security guards had approached them and apparently told them to clear their beef patties and to put out the fire in a rude manner, using vulgarities.
This was even though the residents had booked the BBQ pit till 10.30pm.
The residents then started filming the argument that ensued, which lasted about 15 minutes, said Chong.
In the video, one resident can be heard telling the security guard that it was only 10.20pm and there were still other pits cooking.
This led the guard to reply, “You don’t need to tell me what to do. I don’t need to be polite on my job. You understand that?”
He also used vulgarities and said that he was going to “put his walkie talkie behind” so that he could “slap” the resident.
According to the Stomper, the security guard challenged the residents to a fight as well.
This can be heard towards the end of the video, when the guard said, “I’m calling you out. You wanna come?”
