TRUST THE POLITICIANS TO MESS IT ALL UP.
THE OPPOSTION HAD SELANGOR UNDER THEIR CONTROL. THEY HAD AN EFFICIENT MENTRI BESAR, WHICH THEY HAD THEMSELVES PUBLICLY ADMITTED FOR SOME 5 YEARS.
NOW THEY SACK HIM WHICH IS, OF COURSE, AN ADMISSION OF FAILURE ON THEIR PART.
Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is no longer on their side. You can count on that! Wait for GE 14!
What a botch up!

Khalid, now the independent Bandar Tun Razak MP, formerly headed the PKR-led Selangor government but was sacked from his party in 2014.
Since then, Khalid has been spotted at numerous PAS events including two of its muktamars, as well as the Fastaqim 2.0 rally in Terengganu in September.
At the time, the Port Klang assemblyperson said while he supported PAS’ struggles, he had no intention of joining the party.
Khalid was previously a member of Umno for almost 30 years before joining PKR in 2006. He became the party’s first menteri besar for Selangor after the 12th general elections.

Khalid says ready to work with Umno, PAS, in GE14
Former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today announced his readiness to work together with both Umno and PAS in Selangor for the upcoming 14th general elections.
“I will work to help Umno, but I have told my friends in PAS who had helped me in the past, I will also help them, to unite the ummah (people),” Khalid told a press conference after attending the Selangor Umno convention at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
Pressed to clarify his stand, Khalid said that he has maintained ties with both Umno and PAS, with the ultimate agenda of ensuring continuing progress for the people of Selangor.
“I have (ties with) PAS and Umno. This means nobody can say that I am dividing (the people).
“I help the people who are developing Selangor,” he said.

At the same time, Khalid (left in photo) also reiterated that he has no intentions to contest in GE14 and will remain as an independent lawmaker.

Will Khalid dissolve the assembly tomorrow?
ANALYSIS Following the sacking of Abdul Khalid Ibrahim from PKR, the looming question is what’s next for the now party-less Selangor menteri besar.
Constitutional lawyer Syahredzan Johan said Abdul Khalid’s sacking has no bearing on his position as menteri besar so long as he continues to command majority support in the state assembly.
Therefore it is expected in the next few days, Pakatan Rakyat will move to win over its 43 state assemblypersons, including Abdul Khalid’s loyalists.
When Pakatan is confident it has the numbers to oust Abdul Khalid, Syahredzan said one option is to move a motion of no confidence against the menteri besar in the state assembly.
However, Abdul Khalid may pre-empt this by asking the Selangor sultan to dissolve the state assembly and pave the way for fresh polls.

Khalid says sacking illegal, vows to stay on
Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has dismissed his sacking from PKR as “flawed and illegal”, insisting that he will stay on as Selangor menteri besar.
“I acknowledge the decision – flawed and illegal as it may be – by PKR to terminate my membership in the party.
“Until such a time as this issue is resolved in accordance with proper procedures, laws and conventions, particularly the Selangor constitution.
“I will continue to perform my duty to the people as the Selangor menteri besar to the best of my ability,” he said in a statement this evening.
The embattled MB’s immediate move is to seek an audience with Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who happens to be scheduled with him for a function at the state mosque in Shah Alam tomorrow.
“I will now seek an audience with Selangor sultan to inform his royal highness of this latest development, and listen to any views his royal highness may have to share,” he said.

PKR sacks Khalid over refusal to quit MB’s post

The PKR leadership council today sacked Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim from the party for his refusal to step down as the state’s chief executive officer.
The move, which is bound to strain relations with coalition ally PAS, came after weeks of teetering as PKR held back from taking decisive action due to reservations expressed by its Islamic partner.
Party’s disciplinary board chairperson Tan Kee Kwong announced the decision after almost three hours of deliberation which began at 3pm at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya.
The closed-door meeting was attended by all members of the party’s leadership council with one notable absentee – Khalid.
