CAUGHT IN BETWEEN ARE TWO WOMEN, ONE PROBABLY UNAWARE BUT THE OTHER PERHAPS FULLY AWARE THAT THEY ARE THE PROXIES (OR SCAPEGOATS) IN THIS FIERCE WAR THAT TAKES NO PRISONERS.
It’s hard to say when it began. It’s probably an ongoing thing, with the CPF the latest frontline.
A more important question: When will this war end?

I have heard the most ridiculous and absurd incident recently. A grassroot leader’s son has purposely knocked down a person with his sports car in retaliation of what that person has done to his mother. The most absurd part is that the sports car didn’t stop only after a few tens meters away and the father walked down from that sports car and threaten that person (not to report police?) !!!

WHAT DOES MS JEAN ANG YEE MEI LIN’S MOCKING OF ELDERLY S’POREAN TELL US ABOUT HER?
Or of the values of NTUC Income, PA, PAP and Hri Kumar?.
To recap, Ms Jean Ang Yee Mei Lin made fun last weekend 0f an elderly, sick S’porean. She is, it seems, an agent at NTUC Income and a very prominent and senior grass-roots activist in the Bishan area.

She clearly has no time for the sick, and elderly, even though she is no spring chicken herself, and is an active, senior grass-rootsb leader in a PAP GRC. Wonder if she will explaining the details of the Pioneer Package to the elderly in Bishan? But who knows?

What does Ms Jean Ang Yee Mei Lin tell us of the values of NTUC Income, PA, PAP and Hri Kumar?
If Tan Tock Seng Hospital was right to fire Roy Ngerng* for breach of its values, err what does the continued silence and inaction of NTUC Income PA, PAP and Hri Kumar* tell us of their values when someone associated with them mocks an elderly sick lady.
Maybe she is upholding the values that NTUC Income, PA, PAP and Hri Kumar hold dear? Remember a PAP minister sneering at the elderly poor? (OK. OK. The Pioneer Package is the PAP’s way of using our money to repent for his sneers.)
Hence their silence and inaction over the appalling, sickening behaviour of an active, senior grasss-roots leader?
Many yrs ago in the Marine Parade area, a grass-root leader beat up a boy when the boy rebuked him for not following the rules. His behaviour was disowned and he was sacked. Those were the days.
But then shouldn’t they should award her a medal for her dedication to their values? Or at least defend her actions?

With friends like her, who needs enemies? Certainly not Income, PAP, Hri Kumar, PA or the PM. BTW, PM should be glad that he has enemies like s/o JBJ, TKL and Goh Meng Seng. He should treasure them. They make him look like a pretty decent human being who can look people in the eye while talking to them. One of those who oppose him, can’t.
Before ending, I must say I’m impressed by Hri Kumar’s behaviour at the talk. He allowed the lady to make her comments, despite the attempts of his supporters to shut her up. And he handled s/o JBJ attempt at “constructive politics” pretty well. He does not deserve TOC’s slur that by telling the public that the lady lived in a “terrace house” he was giving details of where she lived. There are quite a number of terrace houses in Bishan. (But TOC behaviours like the ST in reverse.)
I hope his behaviour teaches the grass-roots leaders something other than licking the leaders’ feet and sneering at the poor, elderly and ill. I’m thinking of Ms Jean Ang Yee Mei Lin in particular. And hope that she doesn’t have children. They would have been badly brought up. Think of her young daughters wearing cheong sams inappropriately.
I’ve not seen so much exposed thigh except in a Thai brothel or at the old Tekka meat market. She must be proud of her legs to want to flash them so much.

On one side is 76 year-old Ms Rene Yap, who asked for help to get her money back.
She is the unwitting proxy for the anti-PAP side.
At Hri Kumar’s CPF dialogue this morning, an elderly lady got up to ask Kumar how she could get her money back.
The event, titled “CPF- An Honest Coversation: Public Dialogue with Thomson-Toa Payoh Residents” was held by MP Hri Kumar at the Thompson Community Centre.
Many residents showed up to the dialogue to ask questions about the CPF and in particular, one elderly lady’s plea caught the attention of attendees and a video of her speech was shared widely online.

On the other side is this woman in white who was heard calling Rene Yap ‘mad’. Her name? Know her simply as a PAP grassroots member or the cheongsum lady.

At the end of her speech, a lady in a white cheongsum was seen gesturing with her hands (at the 5:33 minute mark of the video). The cheongsum lady was seen twirling her fingers in the air around her head.
A TRE reader who wrote in, said, “The cheongsum lady sat in the front row. Her actions seemed to suggest that the old lady is either crazy or a desperado.”
“She has this ‘not my problem, get her to stop talking’ attitude. Reminds me of the ‘get out of my uncaring face’ attitude of Wee Shu Ming, the daughter of ex-PAP MP Wee Siew Kim, who made the insensitive remark against the heartlanders,” the reader added.
The reader cropped out the part of the video to show the cheongsum lady gesturing with the “crazy” sign.

PAP TELLS NETIZENS TO STOP HARASSMENT BUT THEIR OWN SUPPORTERS DO THE SAME?
Recently, another photo has been circulating online by a Pro-PAP facebook page attacking the 76 year old lady, emphasizing that Singaporeans should not feel sorry for her:
“Contrary to how poor she is made out to be by the irresponsible Opposition, this Grandma is richer than most of us.
Note: auntie chose not to withdraw her CPF at 55; auntie has been receiving monthly payouts; auntie is well to do.”

They even published an image of her house and her street address.
In response, many netizens have called out the Pro-PAP page highlighting that it was unnecessary to reveal her address online and pointing out that living in a landed property does not make her rich.
Having a property passed down from parents is quite common for the older generation who purchased those houses when they were much cheaper:

CPF Cheongsam Lady Video: Stop the Cyber-Bullying, Singaporeans!

Some Singaporeans never learn, do they? Barely six months after the infamous online attacks against Anton Casey and the Honda Civic road bully in which their personal details were leaked, another cyber-bullying case has surfaced, this time targeting a woman labelled as the Cheongsam Lady.
The same strategy was employed for this case. Like its predecessors, the Cheongsam Lady’s personal information such as her workplace, office and mobile numbers were divulged freely on a particular socio-political site in Singapore. The name-calling is worse; it’s like viewing a red peshmerga striking its one target all at once. It’s a grossly handicapped match and to me, the actions of these few are embarrassing and abhorrent.

The Cheongsam Lady is wrong and her actions are proof of that. She should be condemned for her actions online but it should stop at that. This is free speech. Flaying her with names and exposing her personal information is not. I could sense a malicious intent to have her pay the fullest price for her actions, in this case possibly trying to make her lose her job.
Not all Singaporeans are in the same ship that reeks of malice though; not all joined the hazing. I have spotted a few commentators who had voiced out their disapproval of exposing the target’s personal details. One such user is Mr Bernie Khaw who said, “Whilst you may not agree with her, posting her contacts out there with such a message is a nasty thing. Let’s not stoop down to that level, even if the ‘target’ is a PAP supporter.”

I’d like to appeal to Singaporeans to stop harassing someone who admittedly has had her or her faults exposed online. I’d like to ask Singaporeans to stop with the cyberbullying. Yes, the Cheongsam Lady was wrong but shaming her online is wrong too, maybe even worse. Remember, two wrongs won’t make a right.

The cheongsum lady has been lambasted for her pro-PAP support.

Then, there is the background exposure.

It turns out that the disruptive lady is actually an active PAP grassroots member and netizens have shown their disgust for her rude actions.
Photos of her at the CPF dialogue have been used to find her identity and photos have been found of her volunteering at grassroots activities.
It also appears that she works at NTUC Income and is very close to the Lee Family, even being able to walk side by side with Mr Lee Kuan Yew many years ago:
