Kit Kesan DNA Babi | Produk Halal Test Dilancar 2 Usahawan Muda Perancis

From France: New #halal test kit shows up like a pregnancy test kit http://www.todayonline.com/world/europe/french-entrepreneurs-launch-test-detect-pork-food …
PARIS — Two French entrepreneurs have launched a portable device to test for the presence of pork in food for use by Muslims who abide by dietary laws.
With France’s five million Muslims making up about 8 per cent of the overall population, the test, similar in size to a pregnancy test, aims to help consumers detect traces of pork not just in food, but also in cosmetics or medicines.
The kit comes with a small test tube in which a food sample is mixed with warm water. A test strip is then inserted into the water which delivers its verdict after a few minutes: One line means no trace of pork; two lines means pork is present.
Frenchmen Jean-Francois Julien and Algerian-born Abderrahmane Chaoui came up with the idea at university two years ago in the midst of a Europe-wide scandal over mislabelled frozen meals containing horse meat instead of beef.

Their company, Capital Biotech, argues no other existing test allows the end user to analyse the content of a food product as easily and cheaply as theirs. The tests cost €6.90 (S$11.20) per unit and are 99 per cent accurate. HalalTest will be available for purchase online very soon, the founders said.

Jakim raids noodle factory for second time
A noodle factory in Bukit Mertajam, penalised in 2010 for using halal logos not sanctioned by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim), was again raided yesterday for the second time.
The Central Seberang Perai Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Office raided the factory about 5pm, and seized 1,800 packets of ‘mee sanggul’ noodles which bore an unsanctioned halal logo.
Its enforcement officer Md Nasir Mohamad said the office also seized 400 packets of ‘mee teow’, 352 packets of ‘mee suah’ and 780 empty boxes bearing halal logos not sanctioned by Jakim at the factory in Kampung Sama Gagah.
The seizures were valued at RM4,184.

Meanwhile, the factory owner said she would apply for the halal certificate from Jakim soon as 95 percent of her workers were Muslim women residing in the village.

Shopping mall: Our soup is pork-free
KUCHING: A shopping mall here uploaded a video just to show that “we are a pork-free establishment.”
…
The Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (Jais) on Thursday carried out checks at the food court following the publication of a photograph showing a portion of the Bakso Soup, with a caption that questioned whether it was pork.
The Jais check around 3pm was conducted with cooperation from the state Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry.
According to an Utusan Malaysia report published Friday, the stall owners, Niluh Ayu Ari Mulyandari, who is Indonesian, and her husband Chan Chze Jit, a local, were “shocked” by the check but gave their co-operation.
“There is no pork in our food. We adhere strictly to the mall’s requirement that no pork be used,” Niluh Ayu was quoted as saying.
The mall, in a public statement on Friday, said it was “extremely concerned” over the false allegations.
It said under its lease agreement with food stall operations, clause 39 specifically states: “Tenants are not allowed to sell, keep or consume any pork, wine, alcohol liquor or intoxicating beverage or food at the stall.”
At the mall’s Facebook page, the public posted generally kind words towards The Spring’s quick response.
“So far the Spring mall in Kuching in my opinion is one of the most organised and responsible mall we have, and issues like this won’t go unnoticed,” wrote Faizin Zainudin.

The Spring Food Bazaar
23th April 2014 (Wednesday), 11.00am – Went to the Newly Opened & Renovated The Spring Food Bazaar located at 1st Floor of The Spring Shopping Mall. My First Impression when saw the Food Bazaar was like “OHH WOWW !! The Best & Unique Food Court i have seen so far in Kuching”. The Food Stalls is still the same like the last previous Spring Food Court (Before renovated) BUT according to Mr. Sonny Roger Ling (The Food Bazaar Manager), Every stalls will have their Special & New Menu which you can only get it at The Spring Food Bazaar. For Example, Pete’s Western. Pete’s Western have 2 Outlets in Kuching which is at Premier 101 and another outlet is at The Spring Food Bazaar. Pete’s Western at The Spring Food Bazaar will have its Special Menu which you can only get it at The Spring Food Bazaar. Meaning that you can’t have this Special Menu at their other outlet. It’s Simply “Different” !According to Mr. Roger Ling, the Concept of their Newly Opened & Designed Food Bazaar is more to “Picnic” style. This is why you can see the Roof Top of the Drinks Corner have its design like a Basket style. Besides that, All the Utensils of the Food Bazaar like The plates, Fork & Spoons, Tables, Chairs are all new. Their plates are specially printed and designed by The Spring Food Bazaar Management where their Logo and Wording is printed on the plate. Those who do not know where’s The Spring Shopping Mall, It’s located at No.24, Jalan Simpang Tiga, 93300 Kuching, Sarawak. Give them a visit at your own and See to believe it !
